    Took a few pics today.
Here are the dead Impatiens, it only took 3 days for the disease to take hold. The snow , peas are ready, I have about 20 cucumbers at various stages of growth, kale is about 2 feet tall, planted more leaf lettuce. Tomatoes are getting big but still no signs of red except for the cherry tomatoes.

How beautiful everything is, Patty! Worth all that hard work, I would expect!

Ahem, this year I am just looking after two hanging baskets, lol!

Yup and I haven't had to buy lettuce or cucumbers for about 4 weeks. Been making smoothies with them for Kevin and me everyday. Now that the kale is mature I am throwing that in too along with any fruit I have handy.

p.s. I would say it's not hard work but more a labor of love

Amazing, Patty! Too bad about the impatiens but the rest more than makes up for them!

Yeah very weird the Impatiens. It's the first time i can recall ever losing anything. Except for roses, I have the black thumb of death for roses.

The most serious gardening I do would seem very strange to an onlooker, for it involves hours of walking round in circles, apparently doing nothing." --Helen Dillon

    So yummy, itsmewhoelse's harvest shot

Speaking of dahlias, I've started to do major leaf thinning inside the bush for air circulation and spray with mild fungicide in an effort to prevent the leaves from going all white with mildew. Last year I let it go and it was a mess.

I have bumble bees hanging around my balcony. I know they are good and harmless, but still, I'm too scared to enjoy my balcony with these huge bumblebees circling around

    itsmewhoelse,

Your veggies are way ahead of mine...my tomatoes are still sizing up, no sign of ripening except for a few cherry toms. Those garden pictures look fantastic, everything is so lush and healthy! I grew butternut squash one year and one plant threatened to take over my whole garden...and I only got one squash for my trouble. That was the first and only time I grew winter squash.

I have 1 zucchini, not going to plant it next year it takes up a whack of space also.
