I love how busy it gets with the bugs. I have a swing that I lay on and on either side I have big boxes of snapdragons that the bees just love. They fly back and forth right over you when you are lying there about 2 inches above your face. You can feel the wind of their wings lol.

Gojays, final update on Dragon's Wing. The red one get much bigger than the pink ones but the pink ones have more flowers on them. All in all the reds looks more impressive and the contrast of the red green leaves versus the sort of washed out pink against the green leaves wins.Back to red for me next year. I will also be trying the new ones the grower told me about , burgandy leaves with red flowers. I'll try and get pics later.

I have a bumper crop of crabgrass. Does that count
Tomatoes by the bucket load, but they just aren't ripening. Leeks are coming up a treat and our hot peppers are going to make for a bumper crop of salsa and hot sauce later on. Everything else is just along for the ride this year.

Amen on the tomatoes without the red and lots of volunteer sunflowers. Heather is about to bloom so is the worry bush (fake bamboo), just waiting for my anemic crocuses (they are a really soft pink but HUGE flowers and no greenery - greenery comes out in the spring -flowers in the fall). Evergreen jasmine is just finishing and my 2 Eucalyptus trees have grown about 2 feet in the past week

Amazing pics Patty! I like both the red and the pink dragons of yours. My pink dragon didn't expand too much but it did bloom all summer long. I think next year I'll plant two dragons in the same pot and see what happens. Maybe the pot is too small for it and there isn't enough space for the roots to expand? I dunno. I'll give it one more year and if I get the same result I'll throw in the towel.
If those tomatoes are missing tomorrow morning, it wasn't me lol.. they look fantastic

Gojays I think the key is the size of the pot. I have some in one gallon pots doing so-so. These monsters are in 3-4 gallon pots and also get morning sun until about 12 then they fall into the shade of the pine. My ones in the backyard in full shade are half the size. Weird eh?

Thanks Patty, perhaps I'll try a bigger pot next year after all. I keep it in the front yard, and like yours it gets sun til about noon-ish. Hmmm, good excuse to go end-of-season pot shopping... START THE CAR!!
