    I'm sitting in departures at the Ottawa International airport en route to Washington DC where I will stay for 2 days to visit my dad, then to Hollywood to visit my cousin for a day. Then I'm off to Seoul to teach English in Korea for a year I'm so excited but scared. EEEPPPP.

    I've never done this before and despite having been to Korea before and having poured over personal blogs by others I still really do not know what to expect. I did a TESOL course, but that...didn't really help. Oh well. I hope they actually train me......I hear some schools will say that they will and then don't.

    I wish you all the best - I'm a teacher and have taught ESL at a different sort of level than you are going to be doing it, so I wish you much luck! You are fortunate to be able to be right in the city!

    I've heard nothing but good experiences from people I have known to have gone to do this overseas - my niece and her husband ended up staying in Russia for six years doing it!
