Same here, too, dan - it's been hovering around zero, going up to the single digits. But we got a good blast, and it's not done.

Well, my morning has gotten more exciting!
Vader is guarding the stove - which can only mean one thing: there's a mouse under there.
She only leaves it to use the litterbox or go to eat.
This happened last fall - she doesn't catch it, just points it out. My fingers are crossed that it stays under there until my husband comes home to set a trap - I do NOT want it running through the kitchen, EEK!

So I am declaring a whimsical Wednesday with gentle winds prevailing,
Just another hump day & wishes for happy trailing,
They’ve said Wednesday’s child is full of woe,
But I don’t think that’s necessarily the status quo,
It’s the middle of the week strut your hump day physique,
Apply those Wednesday principles to tweak your technique,
Tomorrow will be another day; you know Scarlett O’Hara was right!
Now off you go & make the most of a hump day with delight.

Hicks, I'm hoping your visit to the hospital and your doctor today
brought good news. Thinking of you every day.

I hope you all had a good day.
Just a quick update, 'cause I just have to lay down.
Tough day for me, but it's over.
Surgeon said I was literally right on the border line between surgery and manually forming & realigning the bones, then recasting, and he just couldn't decide, so left it to me. I chose the later; I really wanted to avoid surgery.
Boy, that hurt like he!!.

Anyhow, no weight bearing for another 6 weeks, but back in 3, for more X-rays to see if the bones remained aligned.

Wow, that's quite a decision to leave to a patient, but knowing what I know now, you've made the same decision I would have made..knowing what I know now.
I hope this works for you and things align and knit together perfectly. The alternative isn't something I'd wish you to go through at all. Good luck, Hicks.Last edited by Lynn49; Wed, Nov 18th, 2015 at 07:02 PM.

hicks, positive thoughts and prayers for you on this healing journey.
Mouse update: about an hour before my husband came home from work, it left the comfy under the stove place, and crossed the room where there is storage, so husband will have to check through all that because there is shelving, boxes, etc. - I was not going to move stuff, just in case the mouse ran out. Also, it was squeaking ? is that the sound they make? when it was under the stove, and now it's quiet. Vader gave up, and is back window watching.
I keep singing Hickory, Dickory, Dock in my head..... gah!

Shouldn't you be packing? Hmmmm??
Of course your presence on here could signal that you're both all packed and ready for your cruise!!
Nat...I just read somewhere that chewing gum reduces the problem of earworms..
Hicks, yes, oh, absolutely stay off that leg!! Heal well, Sweetie!
I'm enjoying a nice scotch before turning in and climbing back on the diet wagon once again..
Sweet dreams, everyone!!

Actually I have tried on all the possibilities I can take. I forgot people usually wear a dress to supper and since we have specially ordered non-gluten, non-dairy I feel like we should show up. I have a wild array of dresses that fit. Or skirts. I do have black pants. And a few shawls. It'll come together but I mentally feel the suitcase getting heavier!

So looks like jerry Seinfeld tickets are sold out for both shows in Ottawa. Oh well would have been nice but I couldn't buy till Fri morning. People selling tickets online for $250 and up. Not buying from any of them.
