The nurse who put through the phone call from radio DJs pretending to be "the queen" committed suicide today.
Still having fun, guys!?
THIS is why I hate pranks! You never know how people will react, who may be unstable enough to react in that way....it's wrong in so many ways.
May she rest in peace and may those DJs stop making FOOLS of people! This thread is currently associated with: N/A

I am in total agreement with that. There is just an utter lack of respect for humans these days. The lady who suffered from a rare sexual arousal disorder, which kept her in a near constant state of being aroused just killed herself after enduring ridicule for going public with her story by DJ's, News etc.
It boogles my mind why these people can hide behind 'media rights' to do this and not be held accountable.

I am disgusted by this. How horrific. Her poor family.
I was on twitter and the station was getting blasted for having the clip still on their main page as a Must See item. Both the dj's have removed their twitter accounts as they were getting thousands of tweets. So easy for them to delete their accounts but what about the poor girl who had nowhere to hide.
I hope they get sacked, and even worse things are going through my mind at the minute.

Oh Sue, if they're not sacked there will be hell to pay, I hope!! Reporters are still saying "they couldn't have known...." Really??!!! They couldn't have known that anyone who put their call through would be jeopardizing their jobs and would be risking getting fired before Christmas?!! Do they have any other thoughts in their feeble minds except how to humiliate someone and calling it entertainment?!!
I think they should be made to attend that poor girl's funeral if not for the fact that the family would take it upon themselves to rip them to shreds. Which might not be a bad idea!
I hate pranks, I find them to be one of the lowest forms of humour, never liked them and this is why!! Someone is always made the butt of a joke...and it's not funny!! God, I'm so mad right now!!!

i have a feeling her superiors and peers must have been coming down on her pretty hard, for her to take such desperate action.
poor girl fell for a prank, but i'm sure the wrath of those around her must have been much worseIn 2020 I had 100 FREE Grocery pickups! Subscribe to PC Optimum Insiders & get 25,000 PC Optimum pts

Such a tragedy.............
I agree re: all comments regarding the DJ's
I also wonder how much support that dear nurse received from the hospital..I have a sick feeling reprimand over shadowed any empathy.
Unless we didn't hear the whole tape - the nurse didn't disclose anything confidential - esp since she thought it was family - but her answer was still guarded and professional. As a nurse - I quite often shared info with family members calling in regarding a loved one... royalty or not....I would have prayed that the hospital sided with their staff.........
thinking of the nurse and her family.............so so sad

ANYWAYS
I feel so horrible, I wonder what the nurse thought. Maybe she thought she'd be ridiculed for letting the call go by? Poor Her everyone makes mistakes..
on another note.. I wonder if Kate will be at her funeral. That'd be really sweet..Previously CanadianBella... I'm baaack!

I can't believe the dj's on the radio called it a "little tummy bug" idiots.
Anisa, I was reading the BBC and the article said that there was no discipline for the nurse or any other action against her and that they were being very supportive. They also said that it wasn't the nurse that gave up the information but the nurse that initially answered the call.
