Today is a day to celebrate ..
'cuz , Christ our Lord and Savior is Alive....He defeated death....so we must rejoyce ourselves and worship for all He has done for us ....

I am thankful for this song:
"Rise Again"
Go ahead, Drive the nails in my hands
Laugh at me, where you stand
Go ahead, Try to bury me
But very soon, I will be free,
For I'll rise again,
There's no power on Earth can tie me down
Yes, I'll rise again,
Death can't keep me in the ground.
Go ahead, mock my name
My love for you is still the same
Go ahead, say it isn't ME
But very soon, you will see
That I'll rise again
There's no power on Earth can keep me down
Yes, I'll rise again
Death can't keep me in the ground
Go ahead, say I'm dead and gone
But you will see, that you were wrong
Go ahead, try to hide THE SON
But all will see, that I'm the ONE
For I'll come again,
And there's no power on Earth can keep me back
Yes, I'll come again,
Come to take My people back.
```````
To be able to share this day off with my family. My daughter was baptised today. To play a board game with the family, to watch the Canucks...everyone screaming at the tv for them to win lol, to look into the big brown eyes of my sheltie and know that he feels loved, to hear my cat purring with love, to share a story of when my children were young and smile the whole time doing so =) Happy Easter everyone<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
For 3 1/2 years I've been partly-paralyzed from GBS (French polio), from my 2007 flu shot. It caused a stroke and paralysis of all 4 limbs, and extreme muscle and nerve fibre damage in my entire body. I've been using a walker and cane at all times.
Today, I was resting in bed as I often have to do now because of the weakness, and listening to the Easter version of "The Messiah" on the radio. And when it was over, I was talking to the Lord and saying...'remember when I used to be able to leap out of bed and come down running'...and suddenly, I got the urge to do just that. I leapt out of bed and started running barefoot inside the length of my apartment and back 4 times, and then I went downstairs and ran around inside my apartment 4 times one way, then 4 times the other way.
I tried to leap up to touch the ceiling as I used to do before, but my feet couldn't leave the ground. By then, my heart was pounding so hard, I went back to bed, but I was ecstatic and praising God for this wonderful experience. I haven't run since I got sick and damaged. In fact, most of the time I walk in shuffling, staggering baby steps. But I can only believe from this experience today that my brain and muscles are healing more and more, and the connections are being made for greater mobility.
I PRAISE GOD!!!( Valiant, the valley-ant )
Having dinner with DS&DIL at their place.
That said, being in the car for any length of time is becoming increasingly
difficult
My body is worsening, but I'm still determined to keep on walking.Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.
Today as I ran the cold water in the bathroom to wash my face this morning, I could actually feel the coldness on my hands. And I could feel the coldness of the floor on my bare feet. This is different. For the past 3 1/2 years, because of the numbness and nerve damage, my hands and feet have had a hard time sensing hot and cold. But every time I ran cold water over my hands today, I could feel how cold it was.
I have walked without my cane so far today.
I feel more like a normal 57 year-old woman with some aches and pains.
Thank-you God, and Dear Lord Jesus, for the healing you have given my body!( Valiant, the valley-ant )
