I haven't bought Regal products for years. In fact, I didn't know that they were even still around. Years ago, there used to be a Regal store, here in London. They carried all the stuff that was in the catalog but going to the store meant that we could look at what we were buying.
My experience was that some was good and some was junky. You might ask the seller what their return policy is. If the stuff is easy to return it might not hurt to order it and see what you think.

My grandma buys us regal stuff. Some of it is okay, some of it is junk. It's really hit or miss. If it looks junky it probably is.
You can usually search individual items online and get feedback from there.

I always buy my wrapping paper just before or just after Christmas for a least 50% off sometime 75% off. My favourite places to buy wrap is chapters and pier 1. Paper can be more expensive but it is great quality (I have this thing about nice wrap). The papyrus paper at chapters is gorgeous. Then to find double sided tape on sale throughout the year. Thanks michaels for 40% off coupons. I also give my 4nieces a nice Christmas ornament each year so they will have a good start when they move out and have their own homes. Bombay has beautiful ornaments that I wait until they go on sale for 75% after Christmas for next year. They even box them up nicely. I bought a few toys at the target clearance for nieces and nephews in July and got some really great deals on board game one day shopping in port Huron...so only $1.99 each ro operation, candy land, scrabble, sorry, snakes and ladders.
we sponsor a family each Christmassy I start stocking up when I see things cheap. Unfortunately I don't find out the family until mid November so I can't buy clothes or too many toys in case they don't work with the family we get. Mom always gets a few gifts and kids get a few toys and a couple of outfits, stockings, Christmas dinner, and lots,of non perishable food and toiletries, along with some fresh items like milk ,butter, fruit, veggies etc. very fun to,do.

I'm so excited about Christmas but I have to keep it under wraps so people don't want to punch me out. This year my daughter will be 1 (so more fun!) And we're not going up north to my dh's dad's. Instead, we're staying home and having my parents and his mom/stepdad over xmas day for presents and dinner etc. Woohoo! I'm conducting the "Deck the Halls" package train this month so hoping to get a little of my xmas spirit out that way!!!!

My sil is a grade school teacher...so she asks the school social worker to look for a family in need, then they have to approach family and ask ih the are willing (we have had one family refuse)then I get the ages, boys or girls? Sizes, gift ideas etc. I like this better than going thru an organization as I can do pretty much what I want without restrictions etc...and I know the family is getting everything. Works for us...we drop overly thing off all wrapped and ready to go close to Christmas...preferably when kids aren't home so it is a surprise! Usually family is overwhelmed with the amount of stuff they get. It is such a good feeling for us. I feel selfish sometime because I think we get more from the experience then they do!

I agree, so much! Last year we got a bunch of wrapping paper, tissue paper, and paper/bow packages for as cheap as 20 cents. Regular $2-$20! Some $8 4- and 5-packs of wrap were 74 cents if I remember correctly. They're only like 45 feet total, but it's so nice to have a SELECTION of paper, rather than just a doublesided costco roll that lasts from the time your kids are born until you ship them off to college...
Your post gave me a giddy "OH GOSH" moment, when I remembered we also found clearance LED lights for super super cheap last year. I forgot about them completely and now I'm so excited to use them!Last edited by Chantel; Tue, Oct 1st, 2013 at 10:59 PM. Reason: silly typo :P

I have gift wrap i bought like crazy a couple years ago - i may have to buy more after christmas this year but i have a feeling not as the majority of my gifts for people are being shipped directly to them. I've started 5 of my 15 - 3 of those id call completely done the other two we are going to finish in November on our out of town shopping trip but the stuff i wanted gto choose for the boys is ordered.
I did up a budget for christmas and tracking what i spend - including the cards and postage. I'd love to print off a family photo or a photo of the boys to include in the cards this year. Will see how much the photos cost to print at the store here. I'm planning to have all my christmas cards done by the end of november. I am however paring it down to some closer great aunts/uncles, cousins and immediate family. Theres some extneded family i send to i never hear from anymore so theyre cut now.

Costco does 8c per print occasionally and sometimes walmart has specials. Just keep your eyes open!
