There are lots of exercises you can do that don`t require much by way of equipment.
For toning arm muscles (and cursing me cause you didn`t realize you had these muscles) hold out a can in each hand as if you were trying to give them to someone. Turn your hands until the cans are upside down. Move your arms straight out to your sides and hold that position for as long as you can (if you can last a minute, you`re a better person than I will ever be
).
For toning abs:
Sit ups or a variation of it. You can do them in bed - less pressure on back and knees.
Lie on your back and lift one leg so that your foot is barely an inch above the bed. Hold that position as long as you can. You can also lift your leg as high as you can and hold that position. Curse me when the pain starts (been there).
Sit in a chair. Keep one foot firmly on the ground. Lift your other foot until your leg is straight out and parallel to the ground. Hold for as long as you can.
There are other exercises I do, but not sure if they would apply because of your knee situation (I have some knee issues as well, but they are manageable). Good luck, Ashley.

hello again!!
Weigh in day is tomorrow but I am not worried, I know I've given a very good effort all week, so even if the scale isn't kind I will forge ahead. I thought I might turn into a beet this week with all the healthy servings of borscht I ate, plus I found a new-ish way to suck back more water in the day.
Bought this neat pack of 4 reusable straws that came with 4 firm plastic inserts that have a place to hold the straw and the thing goes over ANY mason jar!! Add a ring to screw over the top and I had plenty of water at the ready.
I chose one of my empty one Litre jars to maximize my intake, plopped my sliced lemons/limes and dash of stevia into it, and actually refilled it many times during each day....the straws have very large openings...lol.
Good luck to us all tomorrow.

I failed this week. Moving into my apartment and feeling even more alone, has made me want to eat more, but no excuse. Need to suck it up.

ha ha ha
Patty I posted that story in 2 threads yesterday. Doga were the only animal I ever encountered a problem with. I could
" bear-ly " believe it!! Can you just imagine the adrenaline rush when walking on that street again? I'd change routes I think...lol.
Hey good news is I am actually down 2 lbs this week! Not reason for celebration since it is all part of the regained weight, but a minor victory!!

All in all it was a good week this week. I am down 1.4 lbs
To be honest, I felt like giving up yesterday as I was doing some baking for dh and dd.
(Cookies and tea biscuits) I find I have to find ways to treat myself so that I don't feel like I am missing out. But I did manage to make it past that and focus on my long term goal.
As of this morning I am down a total of 25 lbs !Trade List /Wishlist: http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/382792-dreamcatcher1962s-trade-wish-lists-canada/#post5928904

I maintained, which is a miracle, since I really haven't done much to be proud of with regards to eating healthy. Tonight it's dinner out for my b'day with hubby and 'the kids', and I know the food will be wonderful (Greek)....irresistible, really...at least for me!
Congrats to all the Losers!!!

Haven't stepped on scale...will next week! Didn't have as good a week as last!
