A couple of Blue Jays have discovered the oak trees in my yard and are driving me crazy with their screeching. And they are dive bombing us and the dogs. My trigger finger is getting itchy.

LOL! So it makes perfect sense to B-schoolers to split up a customers order and pack one bag of chips in a large box of its own and then fill the box with padding only to ship off the socks and shorts in another shipment. LOL Yeah, they've got it down to a science.

Because you know socks and shorts will get damaged being in a box without padding. Then again apparently there is a rule at Walmart of 3 items per bag(I always complain about this because its such a waste and have been told by multiple cashiers that it's the "rule").
I used to work in the shipping department for another Canadian Company and you'd get yelled at for using a box bigger than what you needed and filling it with excess padding. If you needed a big box because of the length of the item but couldn't fill it with other stuff you were supposed to cut down the cardboard to fit.

Yesterday dd's school sents home a notice about meet the teacher night today(dated for yesterday so it wasn't dd forgetting to give it to me). Panic and try to find someone to watch my youngest so I can go tonight.m Dh rearranges his day so he can be home in time for me to go.
Today the school decides to cancel it because of work to rule, no notification to the parents, no letter sent home, just put a cancellation notice of the sign outside the school, so if your child didn't notice it and you didn't pick them up from school there's no way of knowing it's cancelled.
BUT what really irks me is that as of at least a week ago, work to rule was already scheduled to start on September 10th, why would you send home a notice for an event the day before, have people rearrange their schedules when you knew it probably wouldn't happen? It's not going to get you much support for your cause doing stuff like this.

Flew in the Vancouver Island yesterday and they left my carry on (which the checked for free because our plane was full) in Calgary. How to go back at 11:30pm to retrieve it and my internal clock still woke me up at 6am. Time changes stink. But at least they gave me a $100 west jet voucher! I guess I'm going on another trip!

My coworker went on vacation so I've been doing 2 people's jobs the last 2 weeks. I've been working 12 hour days and I'm exhausted.

She definitely deserves a vacation. She works really hard

But what I hate is how coworkers talk about how hard she works and needs a vacation, and like my job doesn't matter

Meanwhile I have taken 2 days off the entire year (one was for a wedding, so it wasn't even a break). Not even one sick day. Why does nobody tell me how hard I work and how much I deserve a vacation? I can't even go on vacation until October because we're too busy.

Oh and if I haven't responded to an 11 p.m. email by 7 a.m. it requires an email to my supervisor about how I take too long to respond...luckily supervisor gets it
