I always buy a big potted fall mom at Costco each fall for the porch and have a light up pumpkin and ghost that I put out. Will put my 3 pumpkins that I grew on the porch too this year lol. And always buy 2 big pumpkins for the boys to carve. Lights on the house for Christmas (tree inside and decorations, candles etc) but would like to get a nice decoration for the porch for Christmas too (on clearance )

I have issues with the dentist as well. I have super sensitive gums, when I was a kid they would but topical on my gum to get through a cleaning.

    I would complain.

I kept telling her that she was hurting me, stabbing my gums, etc...but she just kept telling that it was because she was removing the tartar. The thing is...I just had my teeth cleaned in February...this is the very first time that I have had my teeth cleaned twice in one year. I am on injection blood thinners and reminded her about this. She just ignored the fact that I was bleeding and said that I need to floss more and that the blood is because of the tartar on my teeth. I am happy that I don't need dental work...but I really don't like my mouth hurting like this. My whole mouth hurts and I have taken 2 extra strength Tylenol. I am having cream of mushroom soup with soggy crackers because my mouth hurts that badly. Dh is eating leftover Chinese food that I made for supper last night. I'll be lucky if my mouth feels good enough to eat the leftovers for my lunch tomorrow. I made a note in my phone regarding this dental hygienist experience and I am NOT going to let her clean my teeth again.
I should be attending two Thanksgiving dinners this year, one at mom's and one at dad's. WE will be at Mom's on Saturday since both me and my bro are working which means we will be about 10 minutes from home and we have decided to do Lasagna instead of Turkey. I have not heard anything about Dad's but I assume it will be Sunday because my sister will have to get back to school. To be honest with everything going on lately I would happy to skip Thanksgiving and just relax. Holidays aren't what they used to be anymore.

We do not really decorate for any holidays anymore. We always talk about it and it never happens. I keep saying I will start caring again when I have kids.

Family and holidays can be fun. I think the drama and that is part of the reason I can take or leave holidays these days. So much has changed they are no longer the nice family get together they once were.

I spoke to my mom to see if we could stay at their house that weekend. Mom hasn't given me a straight answer yet. Sounds like we will have to pay for a hotel room for two nights with LO. "Funny" how people want us to travel 5+hrs to visit, but don't want to put us up for the night...even though they have plenty of room at their house.

My mom still has 3 children at home. My sister is in her second year of engineering at the UofS and I know she will be heading into midterm exams. My brother is in grade 12 and has been exploring the possibility of going to seminary school and possibly becoming a priest. Mom is taking him to something on the Friday before Thanks Giving. Mom's church is having a Thanks Giving supper on Saturday that they might be attending because ticket sales have been low. All of the above is to say that mom has told me all of this but won't outright say that we can't stay with them. I'm not even sure if they definitively want us to visit them for Thanks Giving weekend or not. Kind of messed up considering that we have a 13month old son who they have not seen since July (when I traveled up alone in order to attend my specialist appointments).

Dh and I don't decorate our house for different holidays. We will be putting up a new Christmas tree that we bought at the end of the season last year.

At the same time I was able to get hubby to do his claim including one from last year and I just checked the bank account and we have 250.00 from all the claims he submitted. The boys fall on my drug plan as I am the 1st bday in the year. But DH has 100% dental to my 80% dental, but all the 20- 30 dollars not covered add up. and it feels good to have the stuff off my to do list.
Awesome for you!!!You are very Lucky to have glass and dental coverage insurance fees.I dont have that and we all know it is the 2 most health expensives things in life

I bug my DH for a mum every fall and he never comes through so I just pick one myself and make him give me the $ lol. I am a big halloween'er but can never stomach the cost of decorations. I always hope to find something great end of season (marked down). I'm still looking for a great wreath for my front door. The rest of our things are dollar store items. Love decorating but refuse to go broke on it! As for Thanksgiving, my DH is playing in a baseball tourney, so I invited my step sister over for Thanksgiving dinner with me and the kids. I love turkey and would have cooked one anyways but now we have a dessert for free

so true, and today i am grateful we have it as DH just called to report that DS#2 needs to see the orthodontist. (He is only 10). Between both our plans I think we may have coverage up to $5000, but it is still going to hurt my wallet.

We don`t do anything for Thanksgiving. I also don`t decorate for the seasons. At Christmas I put up a small fibre optic tree but don`t bother with anything else.

Well I don't know how such a handsome dog could get fleas!!If you do have them my advice is to buy borax and sprinkle on your carpets and leave over night, it dries the little buggers out, but before you do this vacuum and vacuum some , more!the doctor will give you the product that you put drops on his back which will kill anything that goes on Gary and stops the growth of eggs.Good luck I have gone through this twice (my son practices taxidermy and he dragged home a questionable flea ridden fox and left in our garage, of course we were away so by the time we got home the dogs were covered and it was a big job!!!Oh well beside having stuffed dead animals every where he is a great kid!!! And by the way Gary is a great name it suits him!!!!

CASEY!! honestly girl... check out youtube.. and search for geo mesh wreaths.. OMG.. for like next nothing you can make your own wreath for the front door.. if you pick up the wreath at Michael's with a 40-50% off coupon (which i should have done).. you can then get this mesh roll of colored ribbon at the dollar store for $2- lots of colors, (you'll probably need 2 of each) and then watch the videos. Omg so easy.. i've been putting off doing the one i am for a fundraiser... sucked it up and sat down to do it.. it took not even 5 minutes and im nearly done. im doing 2 different colors for a xmas one. then once more selection is available at the dollar store i'll finish it off. i can't wait.. REALLY wish i could share a pic. if i can figure out a way i will.

anyway. im off to Wm to take advantage of a cereal deal dh just told me about. before the flyer expires.

Well ladies I am back $198 later. It seems poor Gary is allergic to flea bites and yep that's what he had. Since he had chewed his behind to raw-he was also shaved and put on antibiotics. I'm giving him Benadryl too every twelve hours. Included in that is 6 months worth of advantage. It needed to be done, but that was pretty much all of my extra money I'd been saving for debt/bill payments.

That really sucks, but I'm glad that he has been taken care of and will start to feel better soon.
