aside from the obvious (dh, ds, dfamily &friends) I AM THANKFUL THAT HUBBY HAS AN EXTRA PAY CHEQUE THIS MONTH!!!!!!!! MAYBE I'LL GET TO REPLACE MY LAPTOP (in bits in a box in the garage ~ i don't want to talk about it *sniff*) SOON!

For me I am thankful I live in CANADA. Right now the U.S. is having some hard times and making some hard decisions before the August 2 deadline.
Our friends and family in the U.S. have had it hard over the last few years.

We are so lucky here.

Went to a funeral today for an Aunt (no, that's not what I'm thankful for, lol) but while I was in the receiving line, I got told 4 times how much I look like my mother and told twice that I have my mom's laugh. Which was pretty cool...cuz as a person you always kind of wonder who you take after and in what ways. My mom has been gone for 8 years now and I miss her like crazy. It's kinda nice to know that if I want to hear her laugh, I only need to laugh myself.

Anyway, today I am thankful for family--the whole ginormous herd of them. I have 100+ cousins and I'm thankful that even if we can't remember each others names and have to introduce ourselves each time and explain "who we belong to" that we share a sense of family that recognizable in our faces, our statures and our mannerisms. It's pretty awesome!

Just that DH and I celebrated our Wedding Anniversary today ( unknowingly sharing the same day with Natalka and her hubby)
Since he is at work of course we will celebrate over the long weekend. I am grateful for the 32 years together as well as the extra day off work to enjoy it.

I am thankful that I have just enough money to take little holidays now and then. I am also thankful that we are both healthy and active enough to walk miles and miles down lonely beaches in search of that perfect polished stone or a seashell for my granddaughters. The 2 year old wants a whale which might be just a little harder.
