What are you thankful for today?

I know I already posted here today, but I want to give props to the ladies who organized the church picnic.... One lady in particular has been cooking and selling home made bread for the past 2 months to raise money for prizes for the games, and also helped collect items for a merchandise bingo and a turkey, roast beef and salmon supper. In total, the committee collected close to $8000 for our local church. I am thankful for the committee and volunteers for all their tireless commitment and energy in the last few weeks, and were able to put this together in 2 months (with fundraisers and with donations from our community members and local merchants).

I am thankful that its cooled down a bit in my house. The hose that vents the air from the dryer came off, and all that heated air was going in my basement and all through the house which made it uncomfortably warm. I am thankful for the cool breeze coming through the trees from the bay.

Today I am thankful I got the back to school clothing shopping started. I have 4 going to school in a little over a months time, so I am glad I have a few items and a couple of book bags bought. I will do some more in another week or 2, when the stores bring in more fall stuff, but I am glad the kids picked some jeans and tops today as a start.

i am thankfull i still have my mother with us she is 90-and thankfull for a wonderfull husband and 2 loving adult son and daughter -who are both now married -i consider now that i have 4 wonderfull children

Thankful that DH and I can just look at each other and really laugh about nothing after 33 years together.

The Anniversary celebration was delightful, haven't splurged in quite sometime on just the two of us.

Yes! It was worth every penny! Service was attentive and professional, food to die for and the view? Breathtaking! ( we don't get out much huh? )

I am thankful my friends daughter came by with her 3 week old daughter. It was a very nice feeling, to hold a newborn again.... miss those so much. Its so soothing to hold and take in that sweet baby smell (thank you Johnson's & Johnson's... LOL). It was an unexpected visit, but it was great to chat with her and hold the baby..
