What are you thankful for today?

I am thankful there are so many good movies on tonight (saw scary movie, scary movie 3, shaun of the dead, and am now watching Mr & Mrs Smith. As much as I love the olympics, its great to get a break from them and just watch something else.

I am thankful my son and husband made it home safe from their trip yesterday - they had car trouble, but pulled through.

thankful, that i have a good job and the office is closed on stat days.

I am thankful for the hot sunny weather. Winter is long enough and cold enough, so all these 30+ temp readings were having are wonderful. I love the heat and sun, and so do my rugrats (we had a wonderful day on the beach, and planning on going again tomorrow).

I'm thankful for Holly...and her suggestion of donating to our local food banks...I missed the deadline, but Holly....I did pick up lots of jarred baby foods as well as a couple of boxes of baby cereals and put them into the hamper at our local Food Basics.
With your suggestion and encouragement, I'll continue to donate!!

First off, my brag for the day... I am here to brag about my dear son who earned a SILVER MEDAL in the Indian summer games which started yesterday. I am so proud of him and the other kids - in total the kids from my first nation earned 10 medals in archery.

I am thankful that the first nations in my province are holding these games, they are a positive experience for these kids. It gives them something to train and practice for, and the looks of pride and accomplishment on their faces when they receive their medals is priceless.

I am thankful my dh's flight will be leaving Montreal in another 20 or so minutes. I hope he has a great, stress free and event free flight and arrives in Amman all rested and well.

August 31 cannot come fast enough for this lonely momma.... My 2 youngest children cried today because they miss their daddy so much.

I am so thankful that my oldest son age 46 got to the hospital in time when he felt chest pain and arm numbness. He is now going to Thunder Bay for angioplasty and possible a new start to his life.

Oh, dear, Judstir! How absolutely frightening for him, you and your family!
But thank God he had the good sense (that my hubby didn't until the last minute!) to get himself to the hospital to get checked out! So many men (mine) wait until it's an emergency, or until it's too late, to get help.
Hubby's had 2 from his first heart-attack, 1 from when he had his heart valve replaced, and he's been absolutely perfect from day 1!!
All the best to your son...such a worry when it's one of our kids...we wish we could take it all on ourselves, but that's not possible...so we hope and pray...I will say an extra prayer for him tonight....Please let us know how he's recovering...Hugs, Lynn
