Good Afternoon Everyone,
Counting down the days until the weekend, I really need this long weekend. Mom is off to get a few grocery needs today milk, yogurt, her bread and a few other small things. Think I will plan a shopping trip for tomorrow night after work since we cannot go Saturday as Mom has a wedding cake consultation. I am really trying to make some room in our freezers as they are all about to bust they are so full. Right now my biggest issue is Mom has to huge tubs of Cherries in the one freezer to make jam, plus we have a turkey plus a pork shoulder. This stuff alone takes up about half of the freezer. Our other freezer just really needs to be cleaned out we have a lot of food in there we will never eat and is over a year old as it is stuff we inherited from Nanny we do not eat but we did not want to throw out perfectly good food and I do not think our food bank takes frozen goods.
As for this week not much has gotten done, been very blah this week so most nights I sit in front of the TV watching the Olympics. But so far my budget is looking great, it is February 13th and I have spent $10 so on gas for my car. Which reminds me WHAT THE is up with gas prices, came to work it was 124.? went to get gas after work and it was 130.4 than dropped the next day to 129.9 which is where it is sitting now. Budget won't look this good for long gotta pay the house bills either tonight or tomorrow so that is going to make my budget go up, our Hydro is horrible this year because it has been so cold. I will be happy to see winter end.
Hope everyone has a great day.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Yes gas prices have been crazy like that here too the past few days. I filled up Tuesday evening and it was $122.9 L and CT was $128.9L. They put it down after, they always play these games. I can't wait to start riding my bike to work
My car is great on gas and rarely fill up unless on a road trip but want to see how long I can make a tank go once I start riding my bike. Will be great exercise too so win win.

Just booked my Rumplestiltskin's(pug) appointment for euthanasia tomorrow at 420pm. I am just sick.
He is 12.5 yrs old and his back legs have been going for the past two years but recently getting worse and now instead of pooping in the house every day he is peeing as well. He seems to be in pain. Now has sores on the backs of his back legs (just noticed these the other day) and today are markedly worse. I know its time. Please tell me I'm doing the right thing.

Glad you could get in earlier so as not to prolong it for you and Rumpelstiltskin I remember when a friend of mine had to put down her springer spaniel, she went to the drive through at Wendys before going to the vet and ordered a cheeseburger for both her and her dog and sat in the parking lot so she could enjoy sharing that last big treat with her. I thought it was so sweet.

Casey: You are doing the right thing, even if it’s hard. When our1st beagle passed away (she died with us before we could get her in to the vet) I was devastated. It still makes me cry to think about her. Our vet sent a lovely poem called the “Rainbow Bridge”-google it to share with you kids if you believe in heaven and the chance of an afterlife. It just made so much sense to our boys and there were comforted to think she was in heaven and was healthy again and would wait for us… & now I am crying.
BTW her name was Casey.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

They must have really good toilets not to clog, but the smell must be unbearable. Aren't the fumes toxic?
Yup, it's a word!
Oh, I'm so sorry. It was time for our cat after 17 years and it was the hardest thing to make that choice. Just think that you are speeding her along to heaven, where there is no pain, and she'll be young and healthy when you see her again. It's been nearly eight years and I still miss my little kitten. Now I'm tearing up too.

And a happy story for you all who need it now, LO has been saying "ma ma" often for the past week. DH is encouraging her to say "da da" constantly or "ba ba", which is supposedly easier for babies to say and is daddy in Chinese. Her favourite song is even Baa Baa Black Sheep. A few days ago, she distinctly said ba ba and looked towards the bedroom door for daddy. When DH came home he was so excited, picked her up and said "say ba ba, say ba ba".
She looked him square in the face and said "MA MA!!" clearly and loudly.DH looked at me and said to enjoy it now because my reign will soon be over. But until then....ma ma ma ma ma!!!
