"Zero Dark Thirty" - 9/10 (Best Actress Oscar Nom well deserved for Jessica Chastain)
"Skyfall" - 9/10 (Huge improvement over the last movie)
"Silver Linings Playbook" - 9/10 (Nice to see Robert De Niro in a good movie again. Excellent acting)

Is the new Arnold film filled with tons of violent violence? I like his films, but I don't like gratuitous violence one bit.

There isn't lots of violence in this one. Put it this way, if I had a young son, he would be able to enjoy the movie. There were some tweens sitting in front of us and they had a good time. Some humour in this movie, too. And a very handsome villain.

Watched lots of good movies on WMOV (women's movie channel?) this weekend including The BreakUp and Horrible Bosses, semi-oldies but goodies.

Horrible Bosses -- Jennifer Anniston did a great job being a bad boss

Oh Shwa! I was outvoted this afternoon and had to sit through The Last Stand. I grinned and beared it really, it was ok but then I am just not a fan of his ( DH will always be a fan) ...have to say there were enough jokes sprinkled in, and I have a crazy unexplained attraction to Johnny Knoxville?? What's up with that? he's that nut from Jacka**!!

    ok, 8/10

^^ DH would have said higher ( 9/10 ) because he is 3/4 testosterone! lol!!! I rib Arnold's acting mercilessly, I actually find the delivery of his dialogue painful to sit through at times, although that one crack he made to the bad guy about him giving immigrants a bad name WAS good! The audience laughed at that too.

You know, walkonby, Arnie's private life -- sucks. He's a bad boy for what he did to his family. But, I think, after all these years, Arnie did a good job in the movie.

I give up. What is the inside joke.

Really enjoyed the movie, but I like leaving a theatre feeling good.
