Did groceries at Fortinos as cheese was on sale there and had a PC Gift card. $75 less $30 GC less $20 from sale (in bin when we arrived home) = $25 for groceries. Woot woot. This will help our catch up this month.
And I found out my next pay will be short $200 due to a raise, makes no sense, but I spent all yesterday doing the math to understand. The short of it is in order to pay us the remainder of our salary at higher rate, we received a "difference pay," the difference between what we have made and what is still owed for the new salary after the remainder of the pays have been accounted. It's annoying and bad payroll math. I would rather received my pay as a smaller increment evenly distributed.
I am trying not to complain as we have close friends out of work. We are taking them out for a double date on Sat. I have movie night out coupons to cover our tickets, popcorn and pop, and $27 in GC toward our meal. Trying to get creative to see if we can do the whole date for free!"There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

A frugal chatter question
I posted in another thread but it fits here very well
Have you ever cut open your toothpaste tube, to get the last bit, before throwing it out?

Good morning, everyone.
Insomnia struck. Of course, it's the night before I have to be in hospital early for phase one of my annual tune up (I finally fell asleep at 6am!). Now I'm running late.
Will check in later or tomorrow, depending on my level of sleepiness.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Andit good luck today!!!
Great news Crochetlady, it has been a long haul with that stuff!
Going to be a busy week, I start cardiac rehab today and go 3 times a week, looking forward to getting active again! I also am going back to work at the bakery 2-3 afternoons a week, not out of necessity but I like to keep busy and enjoy the gals I work with, I hope I haven't made myself too busy after being lady of leisure for the last three months!!
Still methodically purging things and down sizing junk, I have a few things to sell but for now I just designated spot in the garage and will post things when it warms up a bit, may do a garage sale if the pile is big enough when I'm done!!
Still haven't got to my sewing of spring summer clothes but hopefully by the end of the week!
Did a great shop at Shoppers on Sunday, lots of points and a rebate for pepsi and a few freebies after checkout 51 so it was a good shopping day!!

Happy Monday everyone. Crazy at work for me the next while but since I finished something important needed a few mins to breath before I start the next project. Dislike this time of year but always get through it so no sense complaining.

I have officially started my no excuse meal planning. Today brought coffee from home, oatmeal with Almond milk and banana for breakfast. Salad for lunch. Yogurt, boiled egg and almonds for afternoon snack. Dinner tonight my honey is making us fish and veggies (the healthy way!) Have my breakfast and snack for tomorrow ready already.(same as today) Hoping for leftover fish for lunch. A day at a time

I really only bought milk and eggs for groceries this week. Wanted strawberries but they didn't look ripe enough. We still have apples and clemintines so the kids can live on those this week. Going to really use up what we have so we aren't wasting. Will prep food tonight for the kids this week so they have healthy stuff ready!

They were $4 LB at our RCSS. (grapes) I have found the sales good actually but I tend to buy what is in season.
