major gifts are done, just need to finish DD's stocking (Dollarama and Dollar Tree have supplied it so far) and pick up gift cards for random gifts (DD's teachers etc.).

A question for you all, if you need to buy gift cards for people you might not know all that well or pick up a multi-pack that will be divided up amongst several people, what do you go for? Coffee? Dinner? Movies? I need opinions...

Definitely coffee! Most people drink it or can at least buy a treat or lunch if they don't!

Canada Post Christmas stamps out tomorrow, Nov 2nd.

Much cuter than last year, IMO. Beaver is US stamp, polar bear is international. Religious one and the moose are both permanent domestic.

I have been slowly coming up with ideas for our 3yr old son. I'm going to get stockings for our newborn twins but I have no idea what I will put in them. I also do not know what I will get for dh. I could use a new hair brush and emery board for my feet. *shrug* It's a place to start.

Just a little fyi...hubby and I were in Michaels early yesterday with a few of my computer-printed 40% off coupons so that we could each pick up something I needed, and on the back of each of our receipts is a 50% off coupon for anything not on sale. So if you're looking for gifts, pick up something cheap..get the coupon and perhaps there's something there for your gift list...kids toys, books, candles, etc.
Heading back today with those coupons....I just KNOW there's something else I need for decorating! I'm so into it this year, since last year I had to sit in a chair just to help decorate the tree! What a difference a year makes!

Just noticed...the coupons we received are good for next week. Still....if you pick them up this week (if they're still getting printed with your receipts), it's a great deal!

Got 4 presents today at Sears outlet store. Got dh a point zero scarf for $7 reg 35. Perfectly matches his new coach leather coat. Also got dad 3 shirts one grey shirt to wear under sweaters for $7.88. One haggar shirt $14.99 less 30% and one other shirt that was reg $59 then priced at $29.99 less $30%. Just the kinds of clothes he needs. 4 nice gifts for $50. Also bought some oasis for my outdoor and indoor Christmas arrangements at dollar store for $1.25 each. Think I will start working on outdoor arrangement this week while it is still nice out. Somehow I don't think this beautiful weather is going to last Ha ha!

Got 2 more gifts this evening...a pair of sweat pants for my dad from costco, nice and thick for $15 and bought my parents a new Moen kitchen faucet...noticed the other day that their faucet was not in great shape. Got a good deal $129.99 reg $229.99 so saved a $100. Mom made some comment re an iron so may investigate that as a possibility. Now I need shoppers to cooperate and give me an offer for the amope foot file thingy. Think it will be perfect for dh. Need the 12,000 point offer lots of people have been getting.

Forgot I bought a can and jar of peanuts for a Christmas bag I'm doing up. Hope to get going this weekend since I dare say we don't have any hockey games!!

Is anyone making any crafts for Christmas? DIY gifts? I NEED some ideas, I think I've seen all there is to see on pinterest... I don't really want to do gift baskets this year, I've already done them the past 2 years. I'm making mini loaves of cranberry orange bread for teachers and a few of my clients but other than that I've got nothing
