thanks for the update @bobbiegirl2010
On CRA's website they are conveniently not mentioning how much of the claiming a dependent amount we will be losing out on which greatly concerns me. Either way I will see if I get the UCCB as CRA kept my return this year as they made a grave mistake in approving my son for dtc....sigh. Either way I will be that much closer to paying them off if they keep it or will play catch up on 1 account in particular2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

Morning all,
The bread lovers in the house really enjoyed the rolls so it's a keeper.
Nothing much planned for today but tidying up.
I am pleased to report that the 2 guys that dh brought up to the moose camp gave him a deposit for this falls hunting season so that will make things a little more relaxed financially. Of course I won't count my chickens before they hatch.
We are going tomorrow to pickup a free queen size box spring for the cottage so that's great, I was going to purchase one for $20 from a fb group but free is better.
Going to check NF's flyer as it's only 10 minutes out of our way from where the box spring is so may venture there for a few groceries as ds1 loves the Beatrice yogurt which I can only buy at NF's.
Well off to the races wishing everyone a wonderful, productive and frugal day2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

Good news about the hunt camp! If it means sharing to keep costs down I say go for it!

Good morning, everyone.
I
I'm baack!!!!Well, sort of. I left my voice out on the North Atlantic (yep, I came home sick, minor cold, major laryngitis).
Had a blast. bff, who I spent 3 yrs convincing and only went on the cruise so I'd have company, is now asking when we can go on another one.Got in late last night, so haven't seen the brats yet (we crashed downtown instead of waking my Mom & the apparently overweight ones). D & I made a pact not to mention any of our pets or think about them while we were away. Off in a little while to go see them & spend a day or so with my Mom.
Feels weird to be online. Kept thinking I should check in to see how my SC family is, but since I was in vacation mode (no checking in with my Mom or friends or anyone), I resisted. Only time I spent on a computer in the last week and a half was the 10 or so minutes it took to check in for the flight home. No more sipping champagne for me (darn happy hours on the ship made champagne cheaper than diet cola). Sigh, back to the real world. Now I just have to ditch this cold so I can have some more fun (is there a limit to how much one can enjoy oneself???).
Off to see my brats. I've been warned that the short one really really missed me and was inconsolable, so ate his way through his misery. The tall one was just happy to have no rules and be spoiled. I suspect she will not be thrilled to see me.
Back sometime this week. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Welcome back! Our dog was a little stand-offish with me when we returned from our trip away during March break. I guess she was mad but she was left with one of her most fav people so she couldn't be that mad at me lol

Glad you had a wonderful trip, Andi - pics when you can!
Just put supper in the slowcooker - roast beef and potatoes, will make other sides later.
Figured it was the cheapest we'd see beef for a while - 8.80/kg - so it's a big treat. Son will be coming for the meal.

Ya for roast beef Natalka, No Frills had their whole round roasts on sale for 2.00 a pound last year the second week in June( yes I keep track of this stuff). I bough ten roasts and used my last one last month. I doubt if they will ever be that cheap again but I am hoping No Frills has a similar deal this year, they tend to repeat their sales. I am looking forward to the flyer and hoping to stock up again but I am not expecting that price ever again!!
Welcome back Andit, I missed your banter the past while, glad your trip was a success!!

Yes, we sure do have to stock up when we find the meat deals! I am always keeping my eyes open for a surprise deal (like the ground turkey I bought last month for $1Lb) It worked for burgers and meatballs!
