@avoncallingu , I know you'll bring much comfort to your cousin, so sorry for the diagnosis. One of my late friends had bone cancer, I'll pray for your cousin and caregivers.

One of my niece's husband has just entered hospice here; it's so unfair when cancer attacks young people. Like my cousin's son, he also leaves behind young children. Damn cancer.

Well, it's another summery day here, hair-trim, then I'll be going through clothes that I'll take to NY next Thursday. It's getting so close!

Been up since 6am oh well. At noon I leave to sign up for the walk in clinic. Then I need to go back at 1.30pm.. hope everyone has a good day today. For me I’ll go to the gym after the doctors office. Laundry at me aunts place tomorrow.

Hello everyone!
Another early start to my day but I wasted much of it first snuggling with Rufus to watch Hamlet get very jealous and try to squeeze his way between us, then taking Rufus out back which set off the neighbour's doggies shrill bark. Poor pooch, those vocal chords you have are no gift!

The cat(s) glaring at us through the glass doors was enough for me to head back inside where I cut up leftover boiled new potatoes along with maple breakfast sausages and transformed it all into a crispy yummy casserole for DD's breakfast......
which she sadly passed on as she rushed out the door to class!
I used to laugh at movies that showed scenes like that where a beautiful meal just gets left on the table for a time crunch.

Not to be discouraged though, I retrieved various trays of steaks from the freezer to thaw, which means later on I'll have more cooking to do. The plan is to make up 2 deep dish meat pies, but first I must actually make both the stew and the pastry and roll out the pie crusts.
That felt too daunting a task to do before java so I sipped my large mug of coffee and sat listening to a few more GOT discs which got me through most of the morning.

Breakfast seems to be a good idea right now, but pffft! cannot enjoy any of that " off limits " casserole so I'll get by with something " green " and some lean protein.

Oh @avoncallingu so very sad to read about your cousin and his situation now. Preventative measures often seem like a PITA and when Dr's advise and warn us about the unhealthy things we are engaged in many of us feel " it will never happen to me "
Often recommend tests are avoided as well, I've been guilty of that too.
I hope your visit there will bring some comfort to him and the other family members.
@Natalka and @Lynn49 I was convinced the audio on this was a woman speaking Ukrainian....clearly I am not schooled it languages as apparently it is Russian! That cat is a hoot and the markings on his face look so similar to our Hamlet!

Oh, @walkonby , you're so right about who cancer chooses to attack!
A friend at camp, the gal who underwent cancer treatments last summer, then a mastectomy has 2 brothers, one who takes care of himself, his body, the other one overweight, drinks, smokes, guess who has been diagnosed with leukemia?
Yah. Life just isn't fair and cancer doesn't care.

I'm waiting for Tootie's investigation at the vet. They are scratching their heads about what is happening with her. "Scratching their heads" seems to have quite a price tag attached. 😥

Then I am heading with my BrotherR right down to Chatham. They were not able to do my cousin's biopsy yesterday as he has taken a turn for the worse.

Yes, cancer is a non- discriminating disease. It touches so many people! Each with his/her own sad circumstances.

It's a lovely day today. Feels like a mid summer day.

@Lynn49 I actually can’t wait for Christmas lol well and thanksgiving. It’s a good time for me to be around family.
@avoncallingu So sorry about everything you are going through. Definitely keep us informed.

Had my my appointment today which was just him giving me another 2 month prescription of my depression meds. I didn’t feel like going to the gym afterwards but at home I did 15 minutes of my ddp yoga and 15 mins of weights.
