Hi again.....we just got home from the funeral home, my DH's neice's Husbabd passed away after a 7-yr battle with cancer. He was a sergeant in our police force so there was quite the police presence there....so many people, since he coached various sports in the city.
A drizzly day now, so we didn't do any wandering.
Pretty quiet here today though...

@Lynn49 I am so very sorry to hear of your relatives' passing as well as his long fight with cancer. Really tough when young families are left behind to pick up the pieces of their lives and carry on.
(((hugs )) and my condolences.
@GoJays you know Lynn very well, that bat meme is right up her alley!
I did my workout today and was very pleased to be able to do 20 pushups again! ( 10 in each set....man's pushups! ha ha )
When I had taken that break from my workouts ( about a month off ) I learned first hand how quickly I had lost abdominal and arm strength. They are back now......whew!
In other news....I am still planning ( more like humming and hawing ) over our menu for Thanksgiving. The good news is the replacement cold brewed coffee decanter thingy came today so I followed the instructions and it is filled and in the fridge chilling. I used Espresso beans and did a coarse grind as was recommended. Tomorrow morning I will be the taste tester and judge, hoping to be pleasantly surprised by the flavour.
I'll keep you all posted! ha ha
Leafs won their first regular season game last night, just 81 more to win!! tee hee.Last edited by walkonby; Thu, Oct 3rd, 2019 at 04:55 PM.

Poppin by with a hi!
Had a snooze, felt good.
I had a hankering for popcorn, and these days I try to give in to these urges for any food - except for chocolate. Didn't want air popped, but couldn't find the microwave popper. Google to the rescue, and it was the first time I made popcorn in a brown paper lunch bag. You use a quarter cup of kernels, roll down the top a bit so it fits in the nuker, and it's done in two and a half minutes. I added just a little bit of margarine, and it was just right.
@Lynn49, so very sorry for the loss of your family member.
Have a nice evening, all!
My kind of bat!
