@avoncallingu I am feeling a little bit of Amarylllis envy right now. We started 7 of these ( different colours, varieties ) 3 of them were old bulbs we saved and some were new purchases.....but not much growth happened between planting and Christmas.
There IS always one show off which gets taller than the rest, and that happened.
I moved all 7 of them down to the large " plant table " with an artificial light fixture overhead. They are slowly coming along.
Today I mixed and spread the chia seeds all over DH's funny Duck Dynasty guy and placed him near the Amaryllis.
Hope the full beard sprouts out bushy!
Hamlet just scared himself half to death! He insists on sleeping beside me on the desk here, stretches out his long body, flirts with me. I must repeatedly guide him back from the edge....gently, but he miscalculated his girth and I wasn't looking....so, flip, scramble ( he nearly fell to the floor )
And with his cat glare he shot ME a look before he dashed away to the window ledge. pfft! He'll be back.

@walkonby , poor Hamlet, the abuse he takes!!
Merry Little Christmas, @Natalka ...gone are the days of abundance and exuberant activity on this day, hm? At least we were fortunate to have had those wonderful experiences!
@Natalka ....do I recall correctly that you had placed orders with Zulily? There's a top or two I'd love to order...those Susanne Betro tops are so cute!! I thought I'd order one to find out how long it takes to come in and if I'm going to be charged duty, but it's under $20CAD so I think that qualifies as no duty. Were you satisfied with that company?
Not much to say, just living out the winter, counting the days until the May long weekend when we can be camping again!

Hello every1. I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas & New Years activities, and have enough R. & R. to recover.
Personally, mine was the busiest I've had in decades; it was fun, but I'm so done.
2019 was an awful year for me, so I'm happy it's 2020. Not liking the cold & snow so much, but so far not too bad. Can't wait for spring.
Have a wonderful day, whatever your plans.

Lovely lazy day here. Nice that my neighbour did my walk this morning as I normally do theirs. I had a bit of a lay in this morning.
Enjoy the day all!

Good morning, folks!
Wild blowing snow in the middle of the night but it doesn't seem to have left much accumulation. (But I haven't been out yet.)
I will take the trusty aluminum shovel with me so I can clear a potential spot for Tootie.
My apartment looks like a maze of half filled Christmas boxes. It's cleaning day today but I think I will ask them to skip me again. I am having lunch with a friend and then a dental appointment.
Take the best care out there today.
@22hicks - 2019 was a tough one for me as well. I'm glad to see you back here.
@danger_dan - terrific that your commute didn't add stress to your morning.
@GoodBoy - nice to see what goes around comes around wrt your neighbour's shovelling your drive.
It will be another "off" day at many schools.
@Natalka - those pictures you shared were beautiful!
@flemeth - how are your walks with your doggie?
@cath007 - where are you?
@GoJays - thanks for your efforts to entertain us!
@Lynn49 - how's the "Great White North" doing? (From the Great White South)
@walkonby - What's happening in your neighborhood?
@Newfiescreech - Where ARE you?
I need to launch and get ready for the day.
Have a great one!

@Lynn49 - I have never ordered from there.
Good morning, everyone!
Had quite the bout of nausea yesterday. Then a rotten night of sleep to boot. I was do very hungry, but could not eat - just gnawed on a few nuts.
Weigh in - just over another three pounds lost. I thought for sure I would have gained, considering most of the last two weeks I have been eating fairly well compared to what I was previously. However, nowhere near my old usual...
We have a snowfall warning here, for 15 cm by day's end. Windchill is in high 20s, and winds are to be around the 60 mark.
Hope today goes well for all of you!
Caracal curling its tongue... Can you do it? I cannot.Last edited by Natalka; Wed, Jan 8th, 2020 at 10:20 AM.

^^^ groan! @Natalka ( extra sharp cheese ) but I still laughed!
This losing weight you are doing steadily without really trying is beginning to tug on my envy bone. ( I kid )
However, at least you CAN eat some foods now, which is wonderful.
@avoncallingu I like the way you included so many of us members in your morning post sweep.
As far as wassup in my neck of the woods, truly not too much as I looked up and WATCHED the long 4 minute version of @GoJays post entitled " act natural " .
here's the link if anyone wants to invest 4 minutes!
Retirement allows me to indulge in long commitments like that....but I did not use any minutes trying to curl my tongue like that cat...I know I can't.
@flemeth what a lovely pic of a steamy hot mug of I wanna say tea? That green is such a pretty shade!
We did get some snow last night, but no complaints from me, I've pretty much been an " indoor cat " this week.
Physio bell rings for me tomorrow ( first class back since Jan 2 ) so my body will probably resist!
Have a great day all!!

LADIES!!
You just have to read this!!
...um...I suppose guys can read this, too..
An ACRYLIC mirror can appear as if it's a real mirror...should be easy to scratch an acrylic mirror, though, if in doubt.
Another test: hold the mirror from your compact up to the mirror...are the tints the same? If the suspicious mirror is darker: two-way!
That's the gist of things...more information here: https://www.twowaymirrors.com/two-way-mirror-test/

sniff...sniff....our boys in blue dropped another game tonight, but what exciting times were had! Matthews tying it up with mere seconds remaining in the 3rd. sigh.....plus Anderson...something ain't right with him, but in the O.T. he was a phenom!!
These darn shootout losses bum me out.
Nighty night good people!!
