yeah a treat, that was the word that came to mind when I peeked out the window this morning. ugh...just another hurdle to face I suppose. Actually right now it has stopped and seems o.k.
On a bright note DD had given me 2 pretty carnations on International Women's Day and one of them is still gorgeous!
Some flowers just keep on giving don't they?

Just popping in to say hello. It has been a strange few weeks, has it not? If nothing else, it has been a reminder to trust my instincts no matter how irrational they seem or how much they are "poo poo'd" by others.
Curious - for those of you living in large cities, what are the main items (besides the obvious, like sanitizer, dry goods, canned goods, etc.) that are sold out? In addition to the things you'd expect, we (town of about 10,000) are starting to see pet food (especially dog food) go fast. Also things related to baking (flour, yeast, etc.)
My nephew's girlfriend is due to have her first baby today or tomorrow in the middle of all this. At least she will have quite a story to tell her little one when he is older!Unique items and great deals to be found on the Halifax Cat Rescue Society auction page.

Good morning....afternoon..!
Our Daughter and Grandson went for a walk here to visit....they stayed 6' away outside our front door, Hubby got a diningroom chair for me and there we were, chatting away, lol. None of us have covid but bronchitis which we still don't want to pass among us. At least we all got some fresh air!
We just learned on the web that a young man in California, 34, was at Disneyworld when we were there, and just died from corona. Like me, he was also compromised by asthma and frequent bouts of bronchitis. We were recalling that when we returned on March 7th, there was no quarantine, no panic about this virus....I don't think he was treated quickly enough or even if they looked for it in a person who " frequently got bronchitis". Poor man. We're past our quarantine period but of course still self-isolating.
I can't believe people are still getting their kids together at parks for pick-up soccer games, baseball!! I just want to see police cars racing in, screeching to a halt, ticketing everyone and dispersing them!! It's coming, I think....selfish idiots need that king of treatment, obviously.
Trudeau also needs to use his outdoor voice during his admonitions on TV!
Ah, well....stay safe, stay well, everyone.Last edited by Lynn49; Mon, Mar 23rd, 2020 at 01:30 PM.

Well, that does it. All non-essential businesses in Ontario have been ordered to close. I wonder how many are left still open?
