have any of you good people heard the warning NOT to go up to your cottages to weather this covid-19 out?
A few reasons being you will put a bigger strain on the few supplies available ( food, supplies ) and heaven forbid you or family members begin to show symptoms, the medical resources will also be nil.
So as those adorable song lyrics indicated ( ty @heartgirl99 for posting!! ) STF@H!!!

Good morning @GoJays as always thanks for the laugh.
Lots of rain here so can’t even go out for a walk.
Since I am up super early I will do some baking . I want to try a recipe for eggless cake. I will be making some Coconut Bun and pine apple turnover.
Hoping everyone is being safe if the are out . I was supposed to go out for flour but decided I will not since my last 2 attempts was a failure. However you choose to spend your day enjoy it. Have a wonderful Sunday all.

Good, lovely, rainy morning!
Oh I love the rain...it kills snow and it smells pretty.
@walkonby , yep, our camping-season may be cut short this year. The owners posted that they are still hopeful that they can open up May 6th, but have my doubts. If the islanders decide to close up their "borders" (the swing bridge we cross to get on, or the Chi-Chi-Maun from Tobermory for the southerners), then that'll be it. The owners live in Vancouver, so they'll have to fly here....its all up in the air for now.
Still isolating, but I'm going to take a back pill and get to my painting.
Stay safe, everyone...we're in for the long-haul.Last edited by Lynn49; Sun, Mar 29th, 2020 at 10:20 AM.

Anyone in the mood for a dance? How can ya NOT tap your feet to this stuff?
Last night was the first time we rented a flick from the Cineplex Store. I knew DH and DS would want to see The Hunt as we saw the trailers a while back, so I redeemed the $22.00 balance on the GC we had and WHAT a MOVIE!
Not for the faint of heart, but imho, just a bit over the top, graphic, gore wise.
Stays in the " library " of my account to view again until Tuesday....I am guessing DD will want to watch this on her own today.
@flemeth enjoy the baking...rats to the wetness preventing an outside stroll for you. @GoJays Mmmm, spiders? I might batter and deep fry some.....NOT!!

Yes I did hear that and was not very impressed. I dont buy groceries or supplies in cottage country because they are double the price. I get in my car and never stop anywhere until I get to the cottage, where I sit alone on the dock and watch the birds. If I was to get sick, I would come home. The hospitals in cottage country are really just good enough for first aid type of problems.
FYI, Mrs. PM and kids left to go to their cottage today.Join Swagbucks for free amazon gift cards! $500 earned so far!!

@princessjen it sounds like you travel to the cottage the best and safest way during this pandemic, also adhering strict guidelines for yourself should you begin to feel ill, good on you.
I'll just bet most travelers are not that careful.
Oh and the PM? Well lets face it THEIR cottage is a whole different animal isn't it? Also they have first dibs on the best health care if they need it, they would be helicoptered out fast.
I heard Sophie recovered from it, thank goodness for their family.

Good morning my friends.
Hoping you all are doing good and had a great weekend. I did went out yesterday for my long walk with Thor the rain did let up. Was surprised to see so many people out going for walks compare to the last week. We all did social distancing everyone was being responsible .Will be going out again today I need this for my mental health.
I miss going to the stores . Not positive that this virus will flatten soon. I guess we are all in this for a long haul. Have to think of ways to keep me busy. My DH still goes out to work .
Stay safe everyone

good morning @flemeth I wish I could do the walking, but after confirmation from the specialist...pfft! there is nothing left between the knee cap bones ( cartilage? ) so that explains why the pain was always so bad after just one block.
I still have options ( recumbent bike ) and stretches, low impact stuff, but the fresh air is what we seem to need and crave atm.
Spent most of my morning listening to every John Prine song I have, gosh I know we will undoubtedly lose ( and have already lost ) many beloved artist's to this evil pandemic but I'm holding out with prayers that he survives.
As of 5 hours ago he is still critical.

Morning gang.
Back to my regularly (modified) scheduled program for this week...back to work...from home, the commute was amazing.
Rainy here, so we'll open some windows and get that lovely fresh rain smell wafting through the house!
Have a safe and wonderful day folks.DANGER

Good morning, everyone...
@walkonby . @flemeth , that fresh air is supposed to do a lot of good, deep breaths...DH sat outside, reading, the other day, we're out there when the kids walk over (we keep a car distance away from each other), it's chilly today with more rain, so I'll poke my head out and do some deep breathing.
The kids called for our grocery list, so I emailed it for our SIL, he'll have an adventure locating gluten-free stuff.
I just saw on TV that grocery stores like in Bracebridge are getting squeezed for stock with cottagers going back. I would hope they now bring their supplies from home where larger stores can still keep most stock. We're not even close to opening, which is fine for me.
The next week will tell us more about the spread of this virus, when we'll see the result of 2 weeks of self-isolation and physical distancing.
Fingers crossed that curve is flattening.
Stay safe, everyone!
