Oh, good news, @GoJays . Up here we've had blisteringly hot days...36-38 then add in the humidity and it's been unbearable to be out in the sunshine at all, morning to evening! This isn't the summer I asked for at all.
I think spring and summer needs a re-do.
We have a fire-ban on the island now and I suspect it won't take too long before one is in place here, also. We've had one day of drizzle, lawns are drying up, and there are fires in the area. Time to call it a day wrt fire-pits.
Enjoy your new air-conditioner...My Hubby calls our trailer "a refrigerator", I get it so cold. Funny how I want it to be so cold in the summer; I'm guessing it's my asthma: I just have such a hard time breathing out there when it's like this.

Very funny !
@GoJays I think I would have had to have checked myself into a cooling centre if my a/c broke down. I turn it down to 69° (F - why are thermostats in a building built 3 years ago in F°?) at night so I can sleep.
So, @Lynn49 , what temperature do you have your trailer set at? Do you get icycles on your nose?
Take care, everyone and stay safe!

Good morning, up for an hour already...Jenny and Hubby still sleeping. Jenny won't get up if she hears the rain and we just had a downpour! Hubby may be doing the same.
Facemasks mandatory here starting today! YES!!!
Enjoy the day, everyone!
Just stay away from Florida. And Mongolia. Today and maybe forever.Last edited by Lynn49; Tue, Jul 7th, 2020 at 07:40 AM.

Morning!
Our council were voting on a facemask by-law last night too.
It's cleaning day today so I had better launch, walk and feed Tootie and have my shower before they come. I have to tidy up so they can clean.
Oh do we need that rain shower you mentioned, @Lynn49 ! The grass is brown and brittle and the weeds are flourishing, funny how that works. Those weed roots must reach down to China!
Those poor people in Mongolia!
I'm feeling dozy. Maybe another 20 minute snooze would help. 😉

Well, that "mandatory" face mask rule is merely a suggestion, apparently. That's our Health Unit...just stopping short of protecting us.

thanks, there are some good laughs guys! I just read back a few posts.
Congrats on the new A/C installation @GoJays
@avoncallingu THAT is why i have never hired any Molly Maid types here, I'd be a wreck cleaning everything BEFORE they arrive.
@Lynn49 so nice that you received a downpour. We're hoping for one.
DH has been getting up a bit earlier each day since this sweltering weather has arrived to make sure everything in front and back has been well watered before he heads out to work.
Now some would wonder why I don't just do it for him, since I am retired, and to those I say......
BWAHAHAHA!!!
I gave my gardening contribution once today when I slipped out and snapped a photo of my sunflower in full bloom!!
Anyhow, it's almost nap time here...everyone enjoy the heat ( if you love that sort of thing ).Last edited by walkonby; Tue, Jul 7th, 2020 at 04:34 PM.
