Good morning!
@GoJays , I hope your air conditioning problem gets corrected soon. I know as kids likely none of us had a/c homes, but we've sure been spoiled. Our home was usually quite cool relative to others...my Mom kept windows, drapes closed against the heat and it worked so well. However, I wonder if we had to battle long stretches of 30C weather.
I think we'll be heading home today, heaven knows I can use the rest, lol! Seems I keep handing out recipes for dishes I make, particularly my mac salad. Our DD made hers yesterday and their friends teased her saying it was really good, but.......not mine, hahaha! Yesterday I just made up my burgers, DH his Caesar salad for 10 of us and they were so well received as usual. Our Grandson baked and frosted his Dad a b'day chocolate chip "camp cake"...we partied until curfew at 11pm.
Thunder storms are threatened today, so I hope we can hit the road before it starts...I'm frankly scared (terrified?) to be on the highways in the rain. Stupid, but nevertheless scared.
Well....not much else going on...hope you're all safe and well. And that you all stay that way.
Happy Sunday, everyone!

Good morning!
Gorgeous day, the welcome rain yesterday was welcomed , but we're back to sunny days.
Two Toronto hospitals' ICU units free of covid patients! The US, however, is going to spike again in 2 weeks after those idiots offered themselves up to the virus on those beaches.
Did you see them in the water, not even a tissue paper between them?! I wouldn't be there covid or not!!
Enjoy the day, stay diligent, stay safe!

awwww, sorry I picked on you @winstar
Isn't this just awful though? Younger people, I get it....you need your friends and outside time.
Guess I'm happy to be old.....ha ha ha

You're so right, @walkonby ....being older, I don't have to or even want to be out there at all. I feel sorry for people who have never developed somewhat of an indoor lifestyle....my painting, sewing and charity knitting keep me happily at home. And indoors out of the stifling heat.
Even our non-crafty Daughter has ordered a Cricut to play with, lol! Never thought I'd see that day!
So a new brain-distroying ameoba has been confirmed in Florida while the bubonic plague seems to have made an appearance in Mongolia.
I just bought the "Calm" app...Mathew McConaughey will be reading me my bedtime story tonight.😏
And how is your day going?!Last edited by Lynn49; Mon, Jul 6th, 2020 at 02:49 PM.

Hello friends! Blisteringly hot today. But most of you know that. I agree with @Lynn49 - no problem being inside but I do resent that time is going by and soon I won't be going outside because of cold weather. I wish we could find a happy medium.
I am going through piles of paperwork that seemed important at the time, but is just getting tossed now.
I am looking to buy a water cooler. All of our water is softened so it has salt in it.
I have high blood pressure so salt is not good. Some people here have put in a reverse osmosis system which would be my preference but I don't have the more than $1000 to put it in. But I don't philosophically agree with buying water that has been sucked out of the aquifer to be sold back to me at tremendous profit.
Hmmmmm......
Well, finishing watching a "Bones" program and then supper.
See you later.

New a/c unit coming tomorrow. Last thing we needed was this cost, but you definitely need one in Southern Ontario
