I’ll be heading to the gym after a 3pm call with my mental health worker. They just want to touch base with me and get an update. Then I’ll go and use the treadmill for an hour and about 30 minutes of weights. breakfast today I had oats with a protein frosting I made with protein powder, cocoa powder, fat free Greek yogurt and sweetener. Lunch was a couple big wraps with lots of spinach and 400g of ground chicken. Dinner will be 250g of mixed veggies with some kind of toppings lol.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Cabbie, you are just rockin all of this, so very proud of you!
We have had to have the heat on occasionally. Nights go just below zero, days in terms.
Nurse (my absolute fave whom I saw lots in the beginning of needing homecare) came after lunch. Things are slowly healing. The biggest, ugliest one is even cooperating.
Was done with one antibiotic, am now switched to another - OMG they are truly horse pills, just huge. At least they are capsules.
Two nurses will come by tomorrow to do a procedure on me - the nurse today tried twice, but they didn't work.
Nothing else new.
So nice to read everyone's news!
Take care, all!
Brother from another mother..

Aw, that little Doxie is so sweet...they all are, really...silly, fun, forever babies, and really good kissers! Hahaha!!
Nice to hear that you're healing nicely, hope that 'procedure' helps immensely!
I was just on Amazon ordering a couple of books for our Grandson as stocking stuffers...I think he'll enjoy reading them...A Manual to Manhood, and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens.
He phoned earlier this evening...he's now taller than his Mom!! She's 5'6"! He's 12 for heaven's sake, hahaha!! Now he just has to pass his Grandpa and Dad...which is going to take a while. Maybe!
How is everyone else coming with their Christmas shopping? I find so much has to be ordered on line, even more-so than last year for me. There's just so much box stores and WM sell and I refuse to go into WM since spring and it'll be a long while before I go again...I just don't trust it for keeping everything clean...too many people also. THAT right there seals it for me.
Only 83 shopping days until CHRISTMAS! Remember deliveries can take a while and sizes are already getting limited. Just sayin'...
I'm on our new computer and it's just humming along, got Chrome back, so that's a happy thing. However, omgosh!! The BigFishGames I played and have played, I'm back to first levels in them!! I thought that I'd keep the levels from BF but I guess it was in the old computer's memory and it never told this one anything.
Ok!! Time to so a little more surfing!!
Have a lovely evening, everyone!!

Happy Saturday hoping you have a great day today with whatever activities you have planned. It’s a very chilly one out went for a walk and to be honest I could have used a pair of light mittens..

good morning @flemeth
DH caved and put our heat on last night......if he caves I know it is warranted.
Nothing on the outside docket today for me. No errands to run, appointments to dash to, nor " stuff " to replenish.
I will sip this coffee for now.

Hello, Good morning!!
DD and GS just dropped over for coffee on their walk this morning, not much on the docket.
I suppose that's breaking the stupid new rule....about ONLY family units who live together can be together?! But kids can pile onto school buses, people can go to gyms, hair salons, bars...but we can't get together in one house with our kids?!
Just try to stop us!!!
Have a day!!Last edited by Lynn49; Sat, Oct 3rd, 2020 at 02:24 PM.

@Lynn49 - please send me links to your favourite Christmas sites. I think you have a convert here!
Drizzly day. Just put my about to be famous "Chicken Alfredo" in the oven. My friend will join me for supper. I've been listening off and on to the news about Trump, but it seems it's hard to tell the "fake news" from the truth. Looks like he did have a rough time on Friday. What goes around comes around, they say.
My Rogers stuff is all screwed up. I tried to deal with it yesterday but I think I will have another run at it tomorrow.
Take care, folks, stay well.

I have a mystery.
You know those cheap-ish solar lawn lights that are from Canadian Tire, etc? I mean, not Giant Tiger cheap, but just normal ones.
If you've ever had them, you know that you'll get a couple maybe a few years out of them before one, two begin to barely light, then they never light again and later they just don't work anymore.
So how's this: we bought a set of those about 5 years ago, and of course they've all gone out.
Except ONE. ONE lights up every single night, all seasons, it's left out in the snow, under the snow all winter but come spring, there it is again!
Lighting our garden!!
I have no explanation as to why every other solar light we've ever met and that included the rather un-cheap set we bought for our gardens at camp in the last 3 years have pretty much died.
But 5-6 years?! Anyone???
