Ahh, my first outing in weeks!!
I got so jealous of our DD going into BB&B, Urban Barn, etc, buying stuff, then having the nerve to mention that Canadian Tire has really nice ornaments. Well!! What was I supposed to do after that, stay home?
So Hubby took me to CT and omgosh, I found the chains of small silver beads I've been looking all over the internet for on SALE! From$4.50 to $1.20 or close give or take! I took all 8 packages and I don't regret it! THEN, really pretty fairly large silver and large red baubles for 2 per each, @ 99cents!! That was the regular price. I took 8 pkgs of each. Again, no regrets. There were quite a few of them anyway.
The tree will be only red and silver this year. Then to Dollar Tree, and I bought every silver baubled branch I could find! Yes, ALL of them! I use them to stuff into the more open spots in our tree...I left the red poinsettias since I think we have enough.
And I found a nice size blue-bird there that'll find a home somewhere, to commemorate my first encounter with one!
I think I'm less cranky now, but boy did I have cabin fever earlier today!!
I hope everyone is doing well....oh, btw...I was so surprised that CT and the $store don't require masks!! The signs are there suggesting it, but apparently they can't enforce it. When did this all happen?
Oh! Our GS got his braces today...I just called, he's in his usual happy mood, everything's fine, no pain, it's all good!
Whew, I'm so relieved he's not in pain.
Toodles, and take care!Last edited by Lynn49; Wed, Oct 21st, 2020 at 05:10 PM.

I'm not surprised, @GoJays . This summer at camp, our kids cleaned up after our bbq dinner on their deck, but there was 1 burger left on a plate. We were sitting on their sofas about 15' away, our DD was near the table about to take it away, but watched a crow or raven eyeing it from their railing, then it hopped onto the table and stole it, and flew off. Well, to a crow, she was the one feeding her! Crow, ravens, remember faces. Her face was then associated with "friend". Whenever we ate there, the bird appeared. When she relaxed on the sofa, a bird kept her company. She can tell the difference between crow and raven.
Here's the surprise...that bird gathered friends and they all kept visiting her as a group or individually, BUT, would you believe that when she visited us on our deck they'd fly from her trees to ours!? We called her the bird whisperer. When she'd leave, there went her birds, flying across two streets, back to their RV!
She loves them, calls them her friends and now when we hear them cawing, (she can tell the difference between the raven and crow caws) we know exactly where they are.
Now here's the surprise....crows/ravens don't forget a kind face and can pass that information to other birds. If someone is cruel to one, apparently the group can make it miserable for that person!
Our DD is still waiting for treasures to be left for her, lol!
But....will they remember her next spring?
We hope so! 💕Last edited by Lynn49; Thu, Oct 22nd, 2020 at 11:57 AM.
