Did anything exciting happen in sc between the hours of 7 p.m. Sunday and 2:40 a.m. Monday? Asking for a friend....lol!
Kidding.....we had a power outage that lasted nearly 8 hours! It sucked! Except that I finished reading a short 156 page book called The Noticer. ( it was quite good btw )
Rotten part is I missed the return of Billions. New Season was all set up to record. So much for that.
At least the ballgame was on early and we got to enjoy the sweep of the Athletics!
Now it's on to the Yankees. Afternoon game today.....Lord help the Jays because Judge and Stanton are on fire atm.
At least both Boston and the Yankees had the decency to lose their games on Sunday....woo hoo!
I say lose a few more please?
Congrats @Lynn49 to the girls for grabbing 3rd place in the camp games. Leaving to return home before the rains came was wise Lynn, we got a quite weird and windy rainfall here. It was kind of lovely though, laying in bed in the dark... ( power out ) with the window open and getting that refreshing breeze blowing across me.
DS wasn't as lucky because he had to close his window when the rain started coming in onto his desk.
Hiya @GoJays !! Just can't quit us huh?
Carry on with the rest of the long weekend !

I couldn't fall asleep again after the amber alertS, so coffee it is!!
Today I get fitted with my 24-hr monitor...it'll take my BP every 25 minutes during the day, and every hour through the night...guess how much sleep I'll be getting?!
Also with my fibro, blood pressure cuffs can drive me to tears, they're so painful.😥
Ok! Kids are back to work, Dd chose to go in 2 days a week just to meet clients, GS...grade 8!!
Enjoy the day, everyone!!Last edited by Lynn49; Tue, Sep 7th, 2021 at 06:58 AM.

oh thank both of you, @GoJays and @Lynn49 .....I was in tears laughing at your posts.
So what about them Blue Jays huh? Five wins in a row with a final score of 8-0 on the last two. I say keep that going!
Tried a brand new recipe last night....my oh my was it delicious. Served with those garlic knots ( Lynn49 you know how yummy they are ) .
Here is the recipe, but I did NOT use Gorgonzola or Gruyere cheeses ( yuck! ) ...well also because those are not in my cheese drawer. I used freshly grated Parmesan, extra old cheddar and Mozzarella.

DH and I also enjoyed a glass each of the Henry of Pelham Baco Noir red wine that I used in the recipe.

Good morning, @walkonby !
That recipe looks absolutely incredible! However, l AM a fan of gorgonzola and gruyere cheeses which draw me to any recipe. Gruyere is so creamy when its melted which is why it was used in cheese fondue. Remember those? Welsh Rarebit?Lol! That recipe is a keeper!
That meme about not knowing 8 people with no issues? Omgosh, Hubby and I thought it was hilarious...and comforting to know, right? ☺
Enjoy your day, my Friend!
Btw did you all get those 500 alerts this morning??Last edited by Lynn49; Tue, Sep 7th, 2021 at 09:04 AM.
