morning everyone.
took a mental day, to myself yesterday, stayed offline, didn't touch my phone.
did a bunch of things around the house...pulled out some power tools, cut some wood, hammered some nails, felt good!
back to the grind today.
have a wonderful hump day everyone.

HAPPY DECEMBER!!!!!
3 weekends until Christmas!!
@walkonby , I have to admit I did think of you when I posted that; we're all the same!
1 hour of standing outside, then inside snowing wet crap, until I finally took the security guy's offer for a wheelchair. I just couldn't stand any longer. He also moved me into the arena so I jumped the line by 2 people but they stepped aside so nicely. Today I feel as if a bus hit me then backed over me again, every muscle, bone in my body hurts. My injection site will be in pain for a few days.
AND they gave my Hubby the wrong date!! He wasn't past hid date, so now he's scheduled for Dec 23rd!! Apparently, one gal told us, this has been happening quite often. Thank goodness he had to be with me...can you imagine standing there alone for an hour only to be told you were given the wrong date?!
Anyway, off to my chiropractor then Costco, then home to collapse.
DD home safe and sound, but is back on working from home so her assistant rescheduled her office appointments to video ones...a happy surprise, lol!
Our GS'S school gave all students a box of selt-testing kits that they're to use every few days! Amazing forward thinking!!
Enjoy the day, everyone!

Buckle in for this experience I had happen this morning!
I was just going to go get gas, then onto NF to PM the Walmart Gay Lea butter ( last day ).
I pulled into an open pump at the gas station, tried to shift into " PARK " when the vehicle was in the right spot.
Could not get the gear thingy to go up into PARK. Why wasn't it going??
I reversed a bit, then tried again. This time the gear went into PARK all right, but the light said R, as if I was in REVERSE??
So I turned the vehicle off ( thinking like a computer fix, unplug it, plug it in again? ) .
That made everything worse. Now the vehicle would not turn on again, not only that but now the key would not even turn all the way left to remove it. Somehow it was locked into the ignition! So as many of you know I own no cell phone, but worse our warranty period is over and we have no CAA membership.
The cashier inside was so very kind to loan me a store cell phone and she even looked up the Dealership number for me.
Thank goodness I got the regular guy on the phone that I deal with, he heard the panic in my voice, gave me a tow truck guy's number that they use, he was there within 20 minutes!
So what do you all imagine caused this? HINT: Think the animated movie Ice Age
See attached invoice under cause and then you can all have a great chuckle at my expense.
The great news is this could have happened to DH on his way to or from work, and he could have been involved in an accident?!
Then the spike in the cost of the tow due to how far away he works. Also, what if the Dealership had been jam packed full and could not accommodate me? I am so grateful everything was resolved in a reasonable time frame and I was on my way back to the pump and onto NF for my butter.

Dang. Still terribly sick from my booster vaccination yesterday. My chiropractor explained that I was likely fully immunized with my 2nd vaccination and this booster shot recognized covid in my system and is fighting with everything it's got to attack the virus. He said I have a very strong immunity to covid.
I looked it up and yep, he was right. These bone-cold chills, aching muscles, are the worst flu symptoms I've ever had. I've taken 2 x-tra strength back pills, broth from chicken soup I made for dinner a couple of days ago and I'll takea sleeping pill tonight so I can actually move in bed without screaming in pain.
My chiropractor said my fall put my recovery back a couple of weeks but it could have been a lot worse. It's a rather almost permanent pinched nerve.
I hope I'm better tomorrow.Last edited by Lynn49; Wed, Dec 1st, 2021 at 07:14 PM.

I thought that I was resigned to the same outcome as you, a pinched pelvic nerve with no hope of recovery. After trying many different things on my own, I have managed to pretty much relieve all of my pain and discomfort. Of course, I must follow my personal daily regiment or fear that I might return to my previous painful state. I cannot be certain my relief was a direct result of my efforts, but I think it was.
Hope that you can find some way to alleviate your pain. I was almost at the point of asking the doctor if he could do something to just kill the nerve so that I would feel nothing. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.
