Thursday.
Waiting for my flyers to come.

great.....flyers arrived right on time........NOT!
After 12 noon when all my incentive to do a shop has evaporated.
As per usual I am missing one....FreshCo this week.

@walkonby , I feel this. Lately I have been doing our grocery shopping Saturday mornings. I am a morning person so I am at the stores when they open and am usually home by 9 am with the groceries put away. But this weekend I am working in office and we are starting at 6 am. When am I supposed to shop now???

@SassyAshley What a roadblock for you.....the stores will be overrun with shoppers by the time you are done work. Do what you can.
I always figured I had an advantage being retired.
It's the flyer delivery I have the issue with. I would love to be out the door on Thursday by 8:15 a.m.
( I have to feed Frankie Feathers at 8 a.m before leave . ...lol ) but with no cell phone to pull up flyers on,
I must wait for these paper versions to be dropped here.
EVERY single week there is at least ONE grocery flyer not in there, which of course messes up any price matching I was planning to do. I am so past complaining anymore, nothing ever changes even after all the calls I have had with them.

Looks like I'll be going tomorrow....without my FreshCo Flyer...lol.

I was just about to ask you why you don't just use the App but then I remembered that you don't have a phone. It's saved me many times. I'd still prefer to use paper flyers but the Loblaw chain no longer has those and there are grocery stores that I match whose flyers I don't get

@GoJays I feel more and more pressure to get a stupid cell phone. There was that awful gas station scare with the acorn and the squirrel, where a phone may have saved me such an embarrassment. Or when DH has exited the house to grab something or other from WM, and I suddenly remember an item I did not write down on his list. A quick call to his phone ( if he had it ) would fix that.
However, the flyer saga just refuses to right itself.
As a person who delivered mail for 36 years I am dumbfounded how these carriers ( I KNOW how awful their job is, and maybe they don't get actual pay, but rely on donations, I don't know ) can week after week forget to insert random grocery flyers into the bundle??
Line all the stupid grocery flyers up....insert, insert, insert! and voila! Boggles the mind.

My Hubby uses that flip-p app to price match also, @GoJays .

@WALK ing, what about one of those pat-as-you-go phones? It's so handy for letting a Hubby know what I forgot to put on his list and omgosh, the number of times he calls to clarify something? Lol., it's amazing! You can do this, Walks...just a simple one is all you need to phone and text...like...texting me!

We used to get the occasional call from the flyer delivery service supervisor to check on our receipt of their bundle; some kind of quality control measure. I think that they have long since gone out of business in our area. Maybe you can contact the person responsible for QC of your delivery area. After all, the advertisers want to know that their product is actually making it to your doorstep.

So true wrt that first smile this morning: when we leave for camp the last person out of the house enters the car and announces that the door is locked! Lol!

As for Americans, it's amazing how much anger and readiness to pounce on anyone's post they feel doesn't compare to their beliefs! They can't discuss, they downright tell the other person to hop off the planet!! Hurt feelings? Sorry...your feeeeelings aren't my problem, they're yours to deal with.

Very little hope left for them, they barely escaped another civil war when that orange guy encouraged and fanned the flames of that anger.
