Another frigid day out here...

Husband went to see our son yesterday aft- had to load him up with groceries. Milan is really doing well, not using crutches and not as wobbly, apparently. Swelling from foot is done, just has some by his ankle. He's happy to be back in his own room, since he can do the stairs easier. He's able to heat up his own food now, at least. Still, he's very bored, which is totally understandable. We had a nice long talk on the phone last night - but I sure miss seeing him!

Good morning folks! My brother and I joined with another couple as a team for Trivia last night. It was great fun. Lots of laughs and brain straining. But our team won second prize! All the proceeds went to Kinetics for community projects. Low key fun! Excellently put together.

Expecting a fair bit of snow today and tomorrow. I think I am a Philly Fan. One of dh's favourite college players is on their team. I have been seeing a lot of very interesting "snacking" recipes on TV.

Many times there are good online sales while the Super Bowl is on.

Good morning!! Or rather....happy day before the SUPERBOWL game!!
You THINK you're going for the Eagles, @avoncallingu ??!! Oh, Honey...that everyone's choice beyond the patriot's fan base! haha!! That cheating, slime-ball of a team can't win without hiring someone to sit opposite their team with binoculars to read the opposing team's coach's playcards! AND can't win without deflating their ball!! AND without the help of the paid-off referees!! Everyone knows that!! However, since the refs won't be calling penalties against them, they'll win again. But oh, I hope and pray for a miracle that the Eagles will win!!

haw haw haw!! ^^^ I've not bumped into any Patriots fans personally, but maybe that is a good thing. I will of course cheer my hardest that they lose and if that helps, so be it!

My b'day buddy ( DS ) bought me bkfst this a.m. after his dental appt. and we are buying him a b'day dinner tomorrow! Tit for tat. Too bad we are in for more white stuff, there is still plenty of winter remaining in our midst.

Congrats on your 2nd place trivia title @avoncallingu , that is a great way to keep the grey matter stoked. Have you been peeking in my window @dededi ? ( pantless, sipping my java at the computer ) .

@Lynn49 I am pleased to announce NO alcohol was purchased at all.

I made 7 purchases ( completing 7 earned you the 2,000 bonus Air Miles for this STB promo)
I used 7 coupons ( some were printed in the STB booklets OR I chose and printed off coupons for different offers that were found in the online link )

The STB promo ran from Nov 14th - Dec 14th, so there was plenty of wiggle room to use the coupons.

Also, each coupon had its own bonus Air Mile reward just for making the purchase, separate from that 2,000 bonus.
Some were as little as 10 AM wys $50.00, or 15 AM wys $25.00, others were get 25 AM when you redeem 95 AM on any purchase.
AND....I used my Amex to make all of these purchases so I earned even more Bonus air miles on my cc statement.

Seemed daunting at first but I kept track and kept all my receipts in case those AM never went into my account.
They did tell us that they would go into our accounts around early Feb....and they did!
