Good morning!!!
Wow, there's some wild weather to the east of us! I hope @Newfiescreech is out of range of that stuff!
DH is driving me to Michaels for a peek at all the spring stuff, we both filled out our college brackets, and of course mine is better. We have fun with it all.
Have a great day, everyone!! Stay safe on the roads wherever you are!

Kellogg's best to you!
Now -who is singing that little ditty in her/his head?
Don't know why it popped into mine. I'm a Rice Krispies woman, myself.
Bank appointment at noon.
Seems like my BrotherB 's voyage is none too smooth. I hope they packed gravol.
Have a soothing cup of Tea on Tuesday Tea-day ladies and gents-and perhaps a scone with clotted cream. Ah, I digress.
Take care!

@Lynn49 I never knew much about the March Madness College bracket thing until Obama was the Pres. because he took part in it despite being the POTUS.
Anyhow......Trevor Noah on the Daily Show is running a " 3rd Month Mania " thing ( it is supposed to be a humourous take on the whole College pick thing) and it is ALL the lies that have been tweeted, said in interviews, by the Administration under Pres Trump.
Basically you get to vote on " What Is The Best B.S. From The Last Year? "

Just silliness really, Canadians are more than likely not allowed to register and play.
Finally went to see both The Shape Of Water and Game Night yesterday!! Back to back! Both were 2 hr flicks so my back was a bit wonky today, those seats are not the most comfy, but the prices are cheaper at that theatre.
I used up some of my $25.00 Cineplex card that DS got me for Xmas...woo hoo!
Weird movie that fish one!!! But for the most part I did enjoy it.
Game Night was great! Just pure entertainment and Jason Bateman never disappoints.

DH won $10 000 on March bracket a few years ago. Can't remember from where though. We could use it now. Little car is on its last legs, poor thing. We would sink a bunch of money into the engine, brakes, etc if the body was in good shape, but it's starting to rust like you wouldn't believe. Held together pretty good though for never being undercoated. Fifteen years old.

I know what you mean @GoJays ...we've got a small SUV (GMC Jimmy, 4 door) that's been begging to head to the junk yard...she's been a work horse though, 20 years old and still kicking along. Looking like I need to replace the alternator sooner rather than later if I want to keep her on the road for any time longer.
Morning all.
Not going to mince words here, the commute was sh!tty this morning.
A little snow and the roads just slow to a crawl...
Had to stop and fill up the car on the way into work this morning, couldn't be helped.
I usually fill up on the way home in the evenings for two reasons; 1. the gas is always cheaper, by at least 3 cents, on the other side of the highway. 2. I avoid having to leave earl(ier) for work than I normally do, since stopping adds 5 minutes to pump and then an overall 10-15 additional minutes due to traffic congestion.
Well that's Murphy's Law for you...already running late leaving the house... Getting gas, the first two, yes two, pumps I go to don't work. The first one, won't accept any cards in the slot, but there isn't any indication otherwise, and the second shuts off all it's lights as I go to start pumping. Takes me a few minutes to maneuver to another pump, since the gas bar is now full of others. All said and done, 15 minutes to fill up the tank.
Extra 15 minutes pumping gas put me into the heavy morning traffic...added another 20-25 minutes to the commute.
Today was worse than most normal (non-march break) winter days...
Oh well...positive note...first one in the office! That means I wasn't late for work!
Have a wonderful day everyone.DANGER

Yeah, I might suggest to get that alternator replaced if you're going to keep it. Speaking from experience here. I was on a roadtrip with my cousin many years ago. Driving down to California in the middle of the night and the car just conks out for no reason. No power at all, can't even get it to crank when we turn the key. Yep, it was the alternator. 3am in the middle of nowhere on the side of the interstate. Long story short, UPS angel stopped so we could call AAA, towed to truck stop (avoid them at all costs - TRUST ME), many hundreds of dollars later we're back on the road. Moral of the story - fix your alternator.

hey!!! I just realized that my sweet pooch RUFUS ( my smiling avatar ) has Pi Day as his birthday! I mean I always knew his b'day was March 14th but I don't really know much about this Pi thing....does it involve math? If it does I am zoning out!
Oh what a commute you experienced @danger_dan , I hope the rest of your day goes way smoother, after all it IS March break, the roads should be less congested.
I was looking forward to another " shut in " day. If I don't HAVE to go out I don't...however, I thought I should check the vehicle to make sure it's filled up for DH so went out before 8 a.m. and the darn Bell Fibe crew already out there....grrr! EVERY gosh darn day! They blocked me in on Monday when I had to take DD to work, they drill stuff, everything they do is noisy and so they have to shout to each other to communicate, they had a cement truck out there today.....
Maybe coffee would help? I mean for ME ...not them! ha haLast edited by walkonby; Thu, Mar 15th, 2018 at 08:17 AM. Reason: I put the wrong dog's name in at first....lol!! It is Rufus

Good morning, everyone!!
Just curious if anyone's heard from @Newfiescreech since these last storms butted up against Nfld. I didn't hear of any power outages, but maybe there are some? What a miserable last (we hope!) of winter!
@walkonby, love that Daily Show silliness, although it's difficult to see what's in those little boxes, they look all fuzzy to me and no, I don't think it's my eyes. It'll be interesting to see the progressive results.
@danger_dan, I hope the day has settled down for you. Change your luck: turn around 3 times and spit. It may not be advisable to do this in your office. Or your luck won't change for the 'good'. At all.
Well my new curtains are up in the kitchen and they're so cute!! Many weeks of indecision and they're now done! On to planning our DD's 41st b'day!!
I hope you're all having a lovely day...if not, just turn around three times and ... you know ...
