The Ides of March....poor Julius...DD took a picture of me beside this statue and I placed a flower
in the forum where he was assassinated, although no one knows the exact place it happened....I wish we had taken a picture of that flower and where it fell.....

Mornin all...I just went back and corrected a post I made yesterday......I guess our dog Murphy was on my mind, as I had put HIS name in the post instead of Rufus' name....so it was actually Rufus b'day NOT Murphys'. Could it have been a Freudian slip? ( because I am constantly trying to balance Murphys' jealousy as he is so demanding if any attention is paid to any of the other pets here )

Leafs won last night ( albeit in a shoot out ) so all is right with the Universe I guess.

Have a safe Ides, everyone! I once put messages in my school's staff mailboxes saying "Beware!" on March 15. Didn't go over very well -no sense of history or humour.

Tootie was to meet her surgeon today so he could check her out. But the traveling surgeon had to cancel the surgery he had scheduled for today so I didn't have to haul her out into the world at 7:15. (My apologies to those who haul themselves out into the world regularly at that time or earlier. But I have paid my dues in that area.)

I put together my brackets for the madness of March yesterday with luck guiding my hand, as I have no knowledge except past knowledge. My step-daughter organizes it. Somehow I have Virginia winning the whole shebang. (I was loyal to the Florida Gators until the final game-sorry dh!)

okay then, Happy Birthday, Rufus!

Crazy awful hurty night for me, so much leg pain. I had to wake my husband up a few times during the night to help me. Good thing he's such a good sleeper, he gets right back to sleep.

Son is coming over for supper; I'm making pork chop suey, so I will spread out all the chopping throughout the day! Husband precooked the pork for me last night.

We have a Yonanas machine, made specifically for grinding up frozen bananas, and other fruit, into "ice cream". Works great but it's noisy and a pain to clean.

Oh this Ninja blender makes so much noise lol. I try not to use it more than 1-2 times a day because of that. Quick ice cream was just 5 small pieces of frozen banana and about 6 frozen strawberries. Also just a couple small squirts of stevia liquid and bit of almond milk. The other day I also added peanut butter and chia seeds. I have wanted to buy that Yonanas machine but I got this ninja because it can do the ice cream and smoothies. I also got a pretty good deal on ebay. That guy seems to have so many for sale both display models and brand new. I bought brand new from him for about $70 inc tax and shipping.

Those chia seeds are weird. If you let the bananas get super-ripe you don't have to add any sort of sweetener.
