Thanks for the birthday wishes for Milan!
@Lynn49 Of course he is young! I was 30 when he was born.
You would probably be near the age of my oldest sisters (1947, 1951) - my oldest nephew is 47. My oldest sister and my mom were pregnant at the same time. My sister had her son in April, Mom had my younger brother +Andrew, in August. So I was an auntie when I was 10.
Andrew grew up being an uncle to a bunch of kids who would usually be "cousin" age.
I can't help but think of the day my little dude was born - it was a Monday. I was induced in the morning, was in hard labour all day. Around five p.m. his heartrate got dangerously low, so they rushed me in for a c-section, which saved him.
And all day, unbeknownst to me at the time, it was snowing which turned into a blizzard as he made his way into the world! The day before was bright and sunny, green grass - we had walked to the hospital!Last edited by Natalka; Sun, Oct 28th, 2018 at 02:59 PM.

Ok, 2 experimentts:
1) can I draft a pattern and sew it out of scraps of fabric without buying the pattern?
2) can I post a pic from my tablet?
Yes, and yes!

Aw, thanks everyone, but I used fabrics that I had no use for and my BFF here as well as you kind people, tell me it's so nice...I think now I'll make a Christmas one for our table with "good" fabrics from the quilt shop down the street. I'll post it when and if I ever get it done.
It was fun trying to work out a pattern from a picture!! The candle was a little weird, but it was the closest thing I could find!
Well, the snow's barely here now thank goodness, it's been a good day!
The "kids" purchased a new park-model trailer (well, it ain't goin' nowhwere!), and honetly talk about how we get gyped here in Sudbury!!!
She happened to do a look-see on the web and came upon that Orillia site, and would you all believe they saved $10,000 buying it there?!! I mean...THAT'S a chunk of change to save!! So....cheque's written, and they'll order the one with the asthetic changes they want and it'll be delivered in the spring and they'll take the other one out!! It's going to be so nice to have all the windows facing their deck and the street instead of their neighbours next door!!
Well...tomorrow I think I'll finalize my Christmas card designs and get busy doing them.
Have a beautiful sleep, everyone...peaceful, resorative with pretty dreams!
