Gah, don't see how to edit my previous post using Tapatalk.
Just read that overnight, we broke a 115 year old record for the cold.

And we might break a record for the heat! Today seemed to be the most oppressive to me. I have clipped off my morning glories -apologizing to them all the while. Bought a couple of mum plants. Will look for a couple of nice scarecrow people in the next few days. The red geraniums and white accent flowers are hanging on nicely -as are the purple mini-petunias. Looks like a hodge-podge out there right now but pretty.
Trying to sneak in a few zzz's before my meeting tonight.
Trying to get someone to accompany me to Seaforth and Bayfield this Friday so I can take Tootie for the ride No idea what the weather is to be.

oopsie...seems I read a few posts earlier then forgot to post myself! Today was just insulting! I sat through the hygienist ringer of the scrape and grind but always grateful for sparkling smooth chompers in the end, then ran 2 minor errands before heading back home to the relief of the A/C and a welcomed escape from the suffocating heat.
Not in the house more than a half hour and discover I had to head back out....something about a 12 hr window available remaining for me to change a pin code ( it has been a ongoing nightmare since I got the card...grr! )
Perspired for nothing.....what a wasted trip! The dang thing still would not change the pin for me. Back home again....on the phone and decided I'll head directly to one of their brick and mortar banks tomorrow to get assistance from a human instead of fighting with one of their ATM's again.
Stay cool everyone!!

How did you get my picture, Walks? 😃 I washed my hair this morning thinking that as it dried, it would be cooling. Ha! HA! Ha! Day went well. Tootie looks great and smells wonderful. How long will this last?
Tomorrow -cleaning person-meeting with colleagues - then choir practice.
This week is flying by.
So, hoping all of our weather settles down. A time of transition.

Kind-of like this folks? I'll be happy when the humidity drops, it's oppressive to sit outside!

Morning, folks! Trying to wrench myself awake. LOTS of rain and thunderstorms here last night. Good old AccuWeather helped me to get Tootie out during a break in the storms.
Well, gotta run! Or at least hobble - hoping all have a happy and worry-free day!

Good morning!
Hope those of you with the oppressive heat get a bit of a break. Nice fall weather here again, should get to 21.
Nurse will come today to assess, clean, and deal with the wounds on my right leg. It's been kind of odd to be mismatched with stocking on one leg and the bandages on the other. At least I get one nekkid leg for the night!
Take care, everyone; enjoy whatever the day brings you!

Good morning!!
@walkonby , I was up and having coffee the same time as you this morning, but I was still too tired to email you back...hahahaha!!! I will later, however!
Actually it was Jenny who decided it was time to get up...so I scritched her, got up etc, went downstairs to join DH for a coffee, and all the while she's laying down on the top step, whining to be picked up. Uh, no. So I opened the binds on the front window, opened her little window for air, and as soon as a tyke walked by for school, down she came like a shot, barking all the way!! Spoiled little muffin.
Not much going on today, chatted with DH about our itinerary for our trip; he's decided he does not want to leave me alone to go to the zoo, so we've made other plans: a day-trip to the Mills at Jersey Gardens, an outlet mall; the American Museum of Natural History (like we did at the MoMa, when I get too tired to walk, I'll sit on a bench, or in the restaurant with a magzine and he can go to the places I'm not particularly interested in). The gem museum had better be open, though! Then there's the theatre night...lots of lunches, dinners, diners and blues bars to scope out. It'll be busy, and if I need an afternoon nap, we'll just head back to the hotel and DH can head out again to see stuff he wants to see. That's the advantage of being in a mid-town hotel.
Okay!!!! Off to do stuff!! Or not.
Enjoy your day, everyone!!
@walkonby ...THIS is a cute animal! hahaha!!
