Good Morning, folks! Am feeling under the weather today, so I am staying mostly under the covers. Doing bits of things, like laundry, tidying kitchen, making plans for next week.
I was able to get free tickets to see the very highly touted, Coriolanus at Stratford next Thursday. Three of my friends are going too. Thursday's always seem to get busy for me.
Tootie is sleeping quietly on my freshly washed housecoat. I gave her a good scratch and brush this morning. She loved it!
Going to have a little before noon snooze. I NEVER stay in bed all day, even if I am sick, but, I am going to try to minimize activity.Last edited by avoncallingu; Sat, Oct 27th, 2018 at 03:52 PM.

Well, I certainly must have been "out-of-it" this morning when I posted. I had "Footie" sleeping on my freshly washed "houseboat" Ha! Gave myself a laugh.
I have been really dizzy and had these weird symptoms so I looked up the side-effects of 2 new meds I have been taking. Sure enough, the one lists these and several other side effects. All it says is to call the doctor if these side effects "bother" you. Well, the fact that I can't walk down the hall without feeling dizzy -yeah, that's bothering me. Then another website lists some foods that may irritate things-all the ones that I have been taking. Cranberry juice, citrus, tea, caffeine, honey, artificial sweeteners...
I'll just go on bread and water and see how I do!
I have a roast in the slow cooker and have cooked some stewing beef. I must admit, I was about to fall down, I was so weak from that. I think I will have a peanut butter sandwich with bananas and see if I can feel better. Tootie is quite happy to keep me company on the bed today.
I started to watch the Baseball game last night but just had to go to bed. Who won?
I haven't responded to a few posts here but it doesn't mean that I am not thinking about you.
Nat -how did the CT scan on your hubbie's hand go?
Best of Saturdays to all of you!
See ya later!

Avon, I knew who you meant!
Side effects of meds and interactions can be such crazy things. I know what varying levels of dizzy are like, so I hope that eases up for you. I know I don't have to tell you, but be careful!
Husband won't know about the CT results for a while, just the joy of going through a specialist...

Oh, @GoJays ..I love it!! "No bits"...? Too precious!!
Just got home from the kids', had bbq'd homemade burgers, fries, we all started a Harry Potter puzzle, did lots of chatting. They're off to Orillia in the early morning to visit two trailers they're interested in and perhaps sign a cheque for one of them to be delivered in the spring. I told them no hurry to sign the cheque, come home and have a good talk about everything...but then, there's our DD....sigh....get 'er done!!
Off to watch the game with DH....GO SOX!! (sorry, @walkonby , but you know my views on California teama..) I will not, however, stay up late.
Toodles, sweet dreams, take good care....Moi!

Thanks, Newfiescreech! I am feeling a lot better. I guess the effects of that pill are wearing off. I have to give a report at church tomorrow so I will be going.
Unbelievably, my slow-cooker roast and veggies were excellent, if I do say so myself. Yes, @Lynn49 , sometimes I can pull it off.
Did get a fair bit of laundry done today, which is great since I didn't get to it last weekend. I was down to the bathing suit bottoms as an option, if you know what I meam, and I don't have a two piece bathing suit.
My nephew has been chosen to go to Colombia again with 3 church groups called 2Countries 1 world.
They help out in small towns with construction or helping in schools.
The team has to raise it's own travel costs.
They have started a raffle - First Prize is two tickets to a Maple Leafs game in Feb. Second prize - two tickets to see the Kitchener Rangers play the Erie Otters also in Feb. and third prize - a jersey of your choice.. A limited # of tickets have been printed. Draw is Dec. 3. Each draw ticket is $10. Anyone interested in a ticket? Let me know and I will get it to you. All funds go to paying the cost of getting these fine young people to Colombia.
Well, this girlie needs to get some sleep.
Have a restful night!Last edited by avoncallingu; Sun, Oct 28th, 2018 at 12:41 AM.

Good morning!
There is snow on the ground.
I opened the door for Jenny and she came to a screeching halt at the door and I could just read her mind, " What the heck is THAT?!", and looked at me as if I had to answer for this white stuff!
Then she trotted out with that Doxie attitude, letting that snow know it's not bothering her at all.
Lazy day, but an exciting NFL day! DH will bring our GS over later, the kids have left for Orillia.
Have a restful Sunday, everyone!
Oh,,,, @walkonby , what an exciting ball game huh?

Here as well @Lynn49 . It didn't stick to too much other than the roofs of cars but it's still a shock. I, for one, was not impressed in the least. Watching a 9am football game right now. The Eagles and the Jaguars are playing in London.

BrotherB is picking up BrotherR which is a big help this morning. Poor Tootie is "off her oats" as it rained all day yesterday and she won't take a "purposeful " walk in the rain and I wasn't going to risk it when it started to freeze. Got to run. Church and then practice.
Enjoy all those games of skill and combat today!
