Chat-a-Thon 2017-18 Thread!

Morning!
I am trying to pretend I am not awake.
I don't want Sadie to get enthusiastic about going out just yet.
Well I am 93% finished with that ominous life insurance application. I will polish it off today and start with thank-you notes and finish off planning for our (brother and my) trip. He has major mobility problems so I have to phone ahead for assistance at the airport. He has major stubborn problems, too and doesn't like to use his walker. He has major sweetness plusses and likes to help others with things which means that he puts himself at risk for falls.

I am going to a "quarter auction" next Saturday in a nearby town - a fundraiser for CKanimal rescue. My cousins from Chatham are going to meet me there. I have never been to one but they are supposed to be fun! Then I have my paint night coming up on Thursday night.

Wednesday, my friend from Cambridge (who took care of Sadie) is coming to have a "Valentine's" dinner with me. ( She can't come on Tuesday as she works as a volunteer at a hospice all day and then has choir practice.) She's a saint!

Full week. Hope the weather cooperates!

Hello every1. I see most of you stayed in & kept warm.

Me, well I had to go to church, it was my on duty, my 1st scheduled day as a sides person, greeting, bulletins, offertory collection, and controlling the flow for communion. I have also taken on the co-ordination of that ministry, and was sworn in today @ our annual vestry meeting.
There was lunch too.

Since I got home about 2:30, I've been shovelling on and off ever since. Boy, that wind is wicked. I even shovelled a dog run in the backyard for Jake. I'm estimating we got about 8", maybe a little more. Unfortunately, the plough just went by after 11:00, so my driveway is piled high again. That has to be a Monday job; my body is already screening at me.
And what's this ? Now they're calling for more freezing rain.

I can't wait for spring.

@22hicks wow, you really had a day of it didn't you!? I loved reading about the doggy run in the backyard for Jake. They do love it when they can get through the snow, sometimes I cheat and let Murphy gallop out first because he goes insane in the fluffy stuff and that kind of clears a path for Rufus. It is time to shovel a better one for them here again as well.

Applause, applause! I finished and mailed off the insurance forms- took Sadie to Pet Smart to get some boots and got a rebate on the cost of the coat I bought her last week. They were very helpful!

I have been trying to watch one of my favourite movies all day - Dances With Wolves. I kept having to majorly rewind it while I did things like walk Sadie-take her to Pet Smart-making dinner etc.

I still haven't finished watching it. My back and VERY sore thumb seem to have something to do with handwriting out the information on the insurance forms. I actually took some Motrin - which is naproxen. It's depressing when you are lumped in with the directions for 12and younger users- not able to take more than one capsule at once.

I am trying to figure out how to "Spread the Love" tomorrow. Perhaps a RAOK of some kind.

Boy, finishing those insurance forms I know was a big and detailed, piddly job and HOORAY, you're done with them!

As for Sadie, booties, huh? I wish I could find them for Jenny...all of them are to tall they rub her tummy bits. Doxies, some of them at least, have very short legs. Jenny is one of those and noooo...it has nothing to do with her carrying a little winter-weight. I think many of us gals are doing the same...

Just caught up a bit and a few pages back. Love the doxie pic @Lynn49 and what d-i-e-t stands for.
Good luck @cabmonk on the job. @Newfiescreech your schedule sounds so demanding, so take a moment to relax if possible.
The weekend here has been a cycle of shovel, salt, clean vehicle, drive, then cook. So quite boring really but we are so grateful that we only got as much snow as we got....other areas are worse off, we have our power and that is a blessing.
Will be watching the Grammy's tonight if I can grab the remote and hang onto it......ha ha .
