Quick check-in to say Good Morning!!

Busy day, I want to finish that baby quilt by the time we leave for camp on Thursday, I have physio this afternoon....the cabinet came in for our new tv so we'll be attempting to assemble it later...what else?? I guess that's about it!

@Natalka, I was thinking the same thing as @avoncallingu...wondering why you weren't admitted into the hospital so that you could receive the care you need and the big meds that will help you get your health and strength back. Please don't hesitate to call an ambulance if you find your breathing increasingly difficult. Get well soon, Hon..!

@22hicks, I hope you're staying under cover (literally) while you're recuperating; do you have anyone who could walk Jake for you for a while? Wishing you a speedy recovery and good news from your surgeon on Wednesday. (I think you said Wednesday?) Don't do anything! It's been my experience that household 'stuff' can wait as long as you want it to: dust bunnies don't move much, laundry quietly sit in its hamper...honest! No need to rush around doing anything at all until you're good and ready, okay? Get well, Sweetheart.

As for everyone else, I hope you had a restful and rejuvenating weekend, and those of you who vacationed, I hope you're decompressing nicely.

    Have a lovely Monday, everyone!!

Good morn! I was up during the night, but apparently the internet was not! How boring, there sure wasn't much to do in the wee hours - I went through some old kitten videos and played a few games on the tablet. We did have a really good thunderstorm and rain in the evening, but that's not when the cable/internet went off - wasn't til much later.

Thank you for all your good wishes; they mean a lot!

As for why I'm not in the hospital, that wasn't even mentioned by the doc. I'm on strong antibiotic pills, plus ointment for the owies on my legs, and another for on the body.
I knew yesterday the antibiotic was working because of the very fast dash to the bathroom, lol!

I will miss having my husband home today - he had been such a huge help to me on the weekend. You know, I just haven't trained the cats well enough to fetch things, for example....

So all I can do is get through the day...

Oh, on Saturday we had a tree come down - beautiful sunny day, no storm, must have just rotted out - we're in a really old area with lots of huge mature trees. It was on the fence line on one side of the property, so the top that came down just hit the eavestrough of our house so no big damage - but our back deck is full of tree still. Some guys came Sunday to cut it up, and hopefully they will be back today to clean up the mess.

    Quick hello!!

So, no quilting today, I realized that I needed to buy one of those cheap plastic tablecloths at the dollar store to put under my 3 quilt layers as I spray-baste them together so we'll pick one up on our way home from physio.

DH is attempting to put together that tv cabinet and I'm just staying put here until he needs me...he's intently reading the instructions all the way through right now. I expect to be called in soon to 'hold things' while he puts them together.

DH's golf was rained out this morning but it's bright and sunny now; a perfect summer day!!!

Hope everyone else is enjoying sunshine today!!

cabbie, that just shows how much I depend upon the internet during the night - to cruise around and do stuff, and to watch/listen to tv programs.

I have to get my son to get some tv shows and/or movies on (sorry for being technical, lol!) that part of the computer for which you don't need the internet.... (?) This morning there was only one tv show, an episode of Vegas.

Hello folks - just sneaking in to see how everyone is doing.
Occupational therapist came and made good suggestions about how furniture should be set up so now I need some muscle to help.

"Guy" the guy who will replace our toilets has not called as yet.

New specialists offices have not called about appointments for BrotherR.
He is resting. Could use a little snooze myself.

Appointment at respite home set up for later this afternoon.

Beautiful blue sky with puffy clouds.
My friend brought me over a beautiful orange mini-rose plant . It looks terrific on our patio with the coral geraniums.and other plants I have been able to scrounge.

Well, some more organizing is in order.
    See ya later alligators.

Those of you who are hurting- let others spoil YOU, if you can.

Oh I hear ya Nat. My net sometimes goes down in the middle of the night when I'm wide awake and I'm like ahhh pfft lol. I use it more than I watch tv and think well now what do I do.

Well, it seems no physio today, either!! It was minutes after we left the house that the sky opened up, big thunder boomers, but the downpour made bubbles, so I told my DH it would all be over soon and lo' and behold....sunshine!! Love how that works! Bubbles can mean a change to a drizzle, but I like this better.

So, they couldn't work on me with their power out, also out in half the mall, Walmart was dark, some strip malls along the way as well as the lights at two main 4-lane intersections. Home safe and sound!

Isn't it so weird how we've all become so accustomed to our electronics, that they simply must work at all times because they're such an integral part of our lives now? I hyperventilate when I can't get wifi at our trailer at camp, so count me in with you two, @Natalka , and @cabmonk ! I mean, how DARE they not operate 24/7!!

    Toodles for now!

    Hi, @avoncallingu!!
Happy to read that the OT was able to suggest modifications that would accommodate your brother there, good stuff. But you mentioned "respite home"....what's up with that? I'm not sure what that even is...is that relief for you for a while?

How nice that someone brought you that potted rose, how sweet. Isn't it so nice that such a simple gesture can mean so much? I just brought in another Stargazer Lily to smell up the mainfloor...just one and whew!! Intoxicating! And the tv cabinet is up and omg, it's like watching a show at the movies! I can see!! hahaha!!

    After while, crocodile!

@Lynn49 I know lol, I often then just switch to tv or a video or podcast I have already downloaded. It's just crappy when you can't sleep and it goes down.

Well, @cabmonk , that's an awful predicament to be in, that's for sure. In the olden days, we'd have picked up a book to read! Imagine, that! hahaha..! Now they're even on my ipad!!
