The rain is here again, ( still ) but maybe all this wetness has given a stubborn type of flower in one of our pots reason enough to produce another large flower. This time it's an orange coloured Hibiscus that bloomed just in time for Halloween!

An inside day for me. I have decided upon skl/bnl chx breasts for the dinner tonight, so they are thawing on the counter.
I'll round out the sides later, one thing at a time.
Anyone else get caught up in the tv series called Chapelwaite? It started out sort of meh?, but now DH and I settle in on Sundays all excited like. Adrien Brody's character is so forlorn ( justifiably ) but that long face in most scenes kind of gets to me.

We're trying HELLO FRESH this week...last night's Cashew Chicken was okay, generous quantity but meh flavour, definitely blander than the foods we cook, with far too many steps, so we just cooked it all our way, but using only their ingredients. DH used more soya sauce, I would have reached for the hoisin in the fridge, but too many calories, lol.
We'll see what the next two dinners are like.

Furnace guy is giving ours a check-up before winter as usual, not much going on, we have to pick up a hoodie I had printed here for our Grandson for Christmas...yep, life in the fast lane!

That is to say it's not even Halloween yet. I know..... we should all be like the boy scouts in preparedness right?
Truly no Christmas anything is on my radar yet. If we can even manage a 4 person Christmas dinner here that would be our miracle, as one kid still won't get vaccinated....argh!!!!

I already have half of our Grandson's 12-days of Christmas gifts, it's getting more difficult as he gets older to think up things, but it's far too much fun!
The older kids are much tougher this year...they don't need anything and I'm drawing a blank so far.

Hello my friends! Everything electronic in my life has been pooched for a while. Finally found a way to say, "Hi!"

We all had our 3rd Covid Booster this morning and flu shots if you needed one. (I had one last week
With restaurants opening up, our Bistro may be back to full capacity but many people are still feeling cautious.

I usually start sending my Christmas cards to England but I include a yearly letter to fill people in, not really a lot of cheery news about the last year, and my laptop has been down so I haven't started that yet.

So, Hallowe'en this Sunday, our minister has suggested everyone dress up. Her sermon will be about "Ghost Stories in the Bible."

I know you will have your costume all ready, @Lynn49 - Yeah, right! LOL.

I have resisted buying mini-chocolate bars until later in the week as we don't get trick-or-treaters, but some people share things around here.
