    Oh wow! I just received a phone call from the President of the Legeon Branch asking if i would like to present a wreath at the Cenotaph Honoring the Silver Star Mothers who have lost loved ones during deployments. It is an honour and a priviledge and i accepted.

    Today was our son's birthday. Thirty. Oy! He liked to point out that I am twice his age... He came here after work, we ordered supper in (yum), had a break then tried the megafudgeychocholatextravaganza cake.

    Yeah, it was good! Best ganache I have ever had, amazing custard between the layers, then whatever they put around the outside of the cake to which the chocolate curls stuck - it was amazing, thinking it may have been a raspberry coulis, not sure.

    I am not usually a huge chocolate cake fan, but this was above and beyond. Well worth the calories!

    The best part of his visits are not the food, but definitely the talks. Gosh, I love the man!

    My health issues stay the same. Best news is the last of three blisters has healed, so nurse this morning left them unbandaged. One I will put a little bandage on because, I confess, sorry TMI, but I am a picker when scabs get itchy...

    Right knee still flares to a stabbiness, rather than its usual constant ache, so that is a bummer. Nausea from my Monday meds wasn't too bad this week, so yay for that.

    Hoping you are all doing well - and from what I read, you all stay very busy!

    That is really something @SnowFlakey ! I'm certain your jaw dropped open when you received that call requesting you to do the presentation.

    Another soggy good morning it is. I've never lived in either London or Vancouver but I am sure their weather is like this most of the time. Game 3 of the World Series was a dud imho. Houston lost 2-0 ( no biggie ) but the pitching was the thing!

    Astros couldn't BUY a hit from Anderson and the bullpen that followed him gave them the same.
    Then the Raptors nearly dropped the ball ( pun intended ) by blowing a 10 point lead with less then 2 minutes to go.
    They squeezed by with a 1 point win! I did hold my breath on the last toss at the end when I was certain Orlando was going to sink a long throw 3 pointer....whew! They missed.

    Finally the Leafs are back tonight! Stay dry everyone!
