I will say that is one of the only things that is worth it to stay for... That sweet employee discount. Sucks it doesn't work at EVERY Loblaw banner store (No to No Frills, Fortinos, and SDM), but for that 10% off on almost everything (And the occassional 20% bonus days/weeks too), it is worth it alone (In 2021 my total discount was over $900).
I know with a lot of the people I have seen leave our department for something better, I have said the very same thing to all of them, we have had a lot of people go on to do better things. One person that I was alwasy very proud of was working for us, and going to school, AND trying to get into Firefighters College(??). She managed to get in and is now on track to becoming a firefighter. She was such a hard worker while she was with us and dedicated for the time that she was with us, but found better, and I was so happy for that.

Good morning all
Hoping the snow storm that’s coming will not be crazy like the last one.

Mid afternoon but I wanted to pop in and brag about our Leafs! Oh yeah AND our Raptors!
What a great night of entertainment for T.O fans. I savoured every Leaf goal, hitting rewind!
It's the calm before the storm ( or supposed storm they're forecasting ).
How do you prep for that? I'd usually bake, or cook and then eat whatever I made. Can't do that now....sigh.
Hang in there people who are working....just 1 more day...well after this one I mean.

I would not say it is that high, especially when there was 3 weeks worth of Double Discount, if you price match meat, the discount works before the price match (So a bigger discount, but then taking off the PM), and of course coupons too. Maybe closer to the $7000 mark I could see it having been spent total throughout the year.
I do shop for my parents and a close family friend as well when I go to visit. So it isn't all my groceries. The total amount of bodies would be 11 (Myself, My brother away for school, My parents + 2, and My family friends household of 5)
As long as I am with them for the shopping, it is okay to use the discount, but I would NEVER give them my PCO Card just to use on their own.

Mornin Jay! Early start here so we can tackle some shoveling, just waiting till it gets a bit more light out there.
Not as much fell here as we were expecting and it is quite fluffy, hopefully easier to move it into piles.
Yesterday I did the very hing I had ribbed flemeth about last week.....thought it was Thursday!
Nope, apparently today is Thursday.......so Happy Thirsty Thursday folks.
