Good morning GoJays and flemeth. DH mowed down our front lawn dandelion crop on Sunday. He actually likes their beautiful, bright yellow colour and was relaxing in his chair sipping coffee until he came to his senses and knew they must go!
Have fun tidying up your back yard flemeth....let the planting begin!
Hey there was a MIRACLE last night!! The Leafs WON!
haha

@walkonby this NHL playoff between the Leafs and Tampa Bay is very stressful . We all watch the game together my 2 DDs are cheering Tampa Bay on myself and DH the Leafs . My DDs also like the Leafs but Tampa Bay comes before them

Good morning!
@harbie , my tummy churns when I hear his bike starting up, but I try to calm myself by telling myself that he's only going a km away at most to wherever he needs to be. He mentioned wanting to take it to the island for a drive around there, but that was a hard no from me. He knows I'm scared. I won't cry when he finally sells the thing! As for pantries, yep, not going to happen here, either, lol.
@flemeth , we're Leafs fans here even though our Son-in-law's cousin is one of the managers on the Tampa team. He also married the daughter of the guy who owns the Amalie Stadium where they play. When he brought the cup home the first time here, all the boys drank beer from it! Goofs.
No sunshine here, today, so no walk for our Daughter, no biking for our Grandson to Goodlife for 6am.
Chiro for me, nothing else going on, and no sunshine to share.
Enjoy your day!

Same here...Hubby actually counted the number of potential blooms this year because I really don't think it's been doing much of a job over the years of producing enough flowers! Too much is not enough either, so my standards are set pretty high each year, then shot down.
Same thing this year. Probably.
HOWEVER!! Our Stargazer lilies look like they've overwintered brilliantly as well as our pink peonies which are so much more like huge roses than roses could ever be!!
Plant a couple of Stargazer lily bulbs, @danger_dan, and yes they can be planted in spring. You may not get a lily this year, but next year you'll cut one flower off and slip it into a bowl of water and your whole house will smell like sweet cinnamon!! They're the most fragrant flower we've ever grown!! You'll have lilies forever!! They spread and give more every year! But they're not invasive...here:https://dengarden.com/gardening/Guid...argazer-Lilies
You can find the bulbs at a local garden centre: HomeDepot, Lowes...and they grow several lilies on each stem so they're quite prolific, also, not to mention easy to grow, not needy at all!!
I know you'll both enjoy them when you bring a flower into your home...it's glorious!!

@Lynn49 beautiful lilies; my parents used to have lilies too and the hares kept coming back to eat them as soon as they bloomed so my parents stopped planting lilies.

Oh what a shame. Our bunnies never touched my stargazer lilies...were your Mom's that variety? Maybe they just leave these alone. They have such a strong, heady fragrance which scents a whole room with just one bloom floating in water which is why in love them so much. Perhaps you'll give them a try? 🤗

Good morning @GoJays and @flemeth
Jays, I will go one further in the " adulting " . Whenever stores have their family sized trays of meat on sale for a flat price, I dig through to get the tray that weighs the most!
In other sluggish news, this is how I behave when I get up just a bit too early, like today for instance. I tried to function like a normal person but couldn't focus or take anything serious.
