oh my.. @Lynn49 all of that went from bad-ish to worse for your DD. The loved ones at home scared her were also dangling on that tender fishhook of " not knowing "... with no updates, isn't that where the worrier does his/hers best work! ( right Lynn? ) .
Home and safe thank goodness for sure! BUT now covid sick. This is not what she signed up for when that trip was booked. (((hugs to all )))

@Lynn49 so glad to hear that DD was unharmed as stuff can be replaced. Being a parent never ends no matter how old our kids get.
Thank you for your outlook, hoping life settles down again.
Praying for DD and her Covid.Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

Morning gang.
Been a while since I've been online!
Lady and I took a well deserved and long overdue vacation to a nice warm and sunny destination. Got back last Wednesday. Thursday morning the Lady tested Positive for Covid...and Friday Morning I came down with the Flu (I tested negative for Covid) We've both been laid up sick all weekend...just finally starting to feel better today; enough to put in at least a half days of work.
Hope everyone's enjoying the spring weather...
and Happy EasterDANGER

@danger_dan that is no way to return from a sunny destination! Hoping for a speedy recovery for the 2 of you! Can Cooper catch covid? I forget about pets.
My day has been pretty uneventful so far. Haven't even thought about breakfast yet. Around 9:30 last night I decided to actually have the late snack which was needed to get a little closer to the 1200 daily calories. ( still fell short though ) Not hungry at all, but that was all due to a crazy mixed up day of sleep on Sunday.
Meh? That can happen at times but I'm supposed to take in the required number of calories ( my fuel! ) or the metabolism revolts. Supposed to be a great week of warm weather!! I'll take it!Last edited by walkonby; Mon, Apr 10th, 2023 at 09:56 AM.

Good seeing you post @danger_dan glad that you had some holidays but sorry for the sickness you guys have(praying for a speedy recovery). @walkonby hope your Easter dinner extravaganza was well received along with all the little extra touches that you added for the occasion.(if that post was in another thread pay no attention to the man behind the curtain).
Gone again from winter right into summer.Nice to have but does things to the body.
Enjoy the rest of your day my friends and have a great week ahead!Last edited by Skippy; Mon, Apr 10th, 2023 at 03:25 PM. Reason: Can't spell danger_dan on the first or second try

Lynn49 & danger-dan, sorry that you both have COVID in your families. If your local pharmacist says it's o.k., you may be able to use Paxlovid. It's free in ON. Maybe get the Spring booster vaccine in about 90 days (90 days post infection).
Sorry danger_dan, but Cooper can catch it from hoomans. At least according to the Mayo Clinic.
What do I do if I have COVID-19 and have a pet?
If you have COVID-19 and have a pet:
- Isolate yourself from everyone else, including your pet, except to provide basic care. If possible, have another person in your household care for your pet.
- Avoid petting, snuggling, being kissed or licked, and sharing food or bedding with your pet.
- If you care for your pet or are around animals while you're sick, wear a face mask. Wash your hands before and after handling animals and their food, waste and supplies. Also, make sure you clean up after your pet.
If you have COVID-19 and your pet becomes sick, don't take your pet to the veterinarian yourself. Instead, contact the veterinarian. He or she might offer advice through a virtual visit or make another plan for treating your pet. Testing is recommended only for pets that have symptoms and have been exposed to a person with COVID-19.
Hope everyone is better soon.

oh dear! ty @Shwa Girl for that info about pets! Since we no longer have any dogs I was out of the loop on that. Night owl hours again for me!
What kind of diehard Maple Leaf fan turns on the game and immediately falls asleep? lol ME!!! Woke up after it was all over to discover we won in the shootout!
Tomorrow I want a do over with less day napping and regularly spaced meals. Dieting is tough unless you have a proper schedule.

mornin jays and flem ( short forms of your handles...lol ) One might think I was an early riser this morning but true confessions, I've not been back to sleep
since around midnight. Oh sure I dozed off watching part the recorded finale episode of Plan B ( a new tv show that will never be renewed but I was intrigued by it ), but woke up the instant DH tried to lift the remote from my hand!! Gotcha!
Today will be a glorious relaxing day, nothing pressing, no real to-do lists and feeling a little empowered over Day 3 of returning to my weight loss plan. STOP!!
I know many members will feel deja vu in my posting about a diet ( again, still, forever ) but where would I be without the chance of another do-over? Enjoy the day all!
