Chatted on a phone call with my sister for a full hour. Here's what the temps are where she is!!

Results for Saskatoon, SK -29 ...................does it even matter if I put Celsius or Fahrenheit after that minus number?? It's still a minus.
I'm so grateful that she's housebound ( by choice, lol ) . Her DS will do whatever errands there are and grocery shop soon. I feel very guilty here in my
balmy Scarborough temps of 3 C, or 37 Fahrenheit.,

Spoiled brat, @walkonby ….we’re at -7 this morning with tons of snow How did you escape that polar vortex?! Hubby did whatever running around that needed doing yesterday in anticipation of this nonsense. He’s out there now accompanied by the snowblower.

@Lynn49 we were just as surprised as everyone else about the comfortable temps we had here while our Western neighbours were in a deep freeze.
I hear some NFL games are played in that ridiculous climate?? Then again their brains work differently than most people's. I just don't know understand
how they don't FEEL the cold when they are out on the field.

We did get more than we wanted of snow last night though, enough to knock out my tv signal ( again ) , so I feel we have earned back our street cred again for winter.
Out for a quickie shop and then I plan to stay indoors for the duration of the weekend.

For once the weatherman was spot on with the forecast of a dumping of snow followed by rain and now attempting to snow again.
Fortunately for the temperatures not too difficult for DW to get the truck out of the driveway.
Afterwards I shovelled up some remains of the snow before it later all freezes over and turns to ice.I was out there for only 20 mins and realised why I don't usually shovel.One hour later and still done for the day despite being refuelled,hence on here.That said, I read today about a guy in Regina who died out in the cold despite
many ignoring his cry for help.

that story was so heartbreaking! @Skippy just a single person could have prevented his freezing to death. Hard to fathom that no one really noticed him waving.

Hope you all had a great weekend. I forget how cold January can get , was outside with Thor and it’s bitter cold. Dress warm if you need to wait for a bus or train or even going out for a walk. My day will be mostly indoors.

-11 up here, and I have a meeting! I just want to stay snuggled in this morning. Again. And every winter’s morning. And afternoon…etc.

Stay safe out there, be careful of the ice, keep your hands out of your pockets when you walk on sketchy walkways so you can brace yourself if you fall.

So Albertans had to cut down on electrical use, appliances, had to borrow some from Saskatchewan….but yes! Buy electric cars!! That won’t affect the grid!
