Good Morning, folks! Happy for the Raptors although I didn't see the game. That final shot will go down in history!

Cold, rainy kind of day.....yucky!

My house is driving me crazy but I have had all these other things to do. Putting the finish on some things today. I seem to have a slow leak in one of my tires so I have to get that seen to.

A day to be productive....I hope.

Good morning!

Had a lovely Mother's Day - my son came with a huge floral arrangement, he said he hadn't meant to get something so big, but he went by flowers he knew I liked, colours, and scents!

We had Chinese food - from my face place, I had not had it in so long, was delish. Very generous portions; we all ate plenty for supper, son took lots home, there is more than enough for us for supper tonight- and I don't think we will finish it.

Had an awesome visit with him, he is such a sweet bear!

My skin tears are healing well, thank goodness.
Today is chemo day, took the pills two hours ago and I already feel gross, so I will go soon to do my leg exercises in bed, and have a rest. Hoping I can find some ginger ale, coffee didn't taste good to me this morning.

So wasn't that just the loveliest Mother's Day spent with Milan and DH? He really gets you and brought you the many flowers he knew you'd love, despite the cost. Yep! Number one son.

So here I was Sunday morning still licking my wounds at " only losing a stupid pound, of WATER! " at my 2 week scheduled weigh-in on Saturday. I was truly not up to going to ANY restaurant for a Mother's Day thing , however the had gang insisted and I had previously promised them I'd go, so......

Anyhow first thing in the a.m. I get phone calls from 2 sisters, ( local ) then around 1 p.m. the 3rd sis calls from out West and blessings being what they are all of that really brought my spirits up considerably, laughter being the best medicine.

Our eldest son could not join us for the outing at lunch but luckily I had birthed 2 others after him.....lol!
So these 2, DH and I slipped into Jack Astor's just before 4 p.m. ( with NO prior reservation! ) and of all the great luck we actually snagged a very close parking spot as a car was just pulling out.
When does that ever happen?

Our luck continued as we scored THE BEST server in the world?!
Listen folks, we have had good and bad, some with attitude, some that just try too hard or come off all phony but this gal....she should write a book on how to pamper your customers!
We never once felt ignored, she was not only capable, efficient and funny as all outdoors, but at one point I jokingly asked her if we could please take her home with us....OMG she wrote on our bill " I love this table and I'd SO go home with any of you! "

During a lull in the meal I had opened up the 2 cards from the kids and the salutation on the front of one of the envelopes sparked an episode which had all 4 of us howling with laughter, and once again this server stepped up to provide the juice that made it even funnier! Maybe she needs to consider a career in stand up? ha ha

Anyhow, the full bill with a huge tip was paid for by the kids!
I truly never saw that one coming and you know it was really tough for DH and I to " let them " pay.
So in the end this Mother's Day was truly a beautiful one for me and quite bitter sweet as we said goodbye to our own Mom in August of 2018 ( a few months shy of her 95th birthday ) .
As my oldest sister remarked.....she now feels like an orphan. i get that.

Whoops! this ended too teary and sad....sorry.

I had a good day so far. Did weights for 15 mins and walked around the lake. Wednesday I’m getting a tour of the police station and Thursday my aunt is taking me for my birthday lunch. She’s out of town for now for doctors appointments. I hope everyone has a good week ahead. 👊🙂❤️
