April 2018 Frugal Chatter Thread (is it spring yet)

Spring has finally arrived here in the north as well. We hit 18c yesterday and am hoping for the same today...lots of laundry on the clothesline to dry..take that Hydro One! Unfortunately ...our gas prices have hit $1.44.9 here this past Friday. I am really hoping that it doesn't stay there. What I don't understand is that when oil was twice the price per barrel than it is now ..gas was priced less than $1.44.9 a litre. ....hmmmm something is rotten in Denmark I think.

Our gas here on the lower mainland of bc is $1.56/L and might go up if Alberta passes that thing about not allowing their oil down to the refinery because the pipeline is being stopped on Burnaby mountain.

I am a very happy camper right now.I trade I was not enthousiam if that would work worked,.I did not have the research of the person but I tried and it paid off,it worked.For 10 free uncle bens bistro express I got in over I traded it for 9x1$ Olymel peelies good on any expiring october 2018,2x2$ St-Hubert Peelies,and 4 x0,75$ Any Oasis premium juice!!!!!! on fb french couponning group!!!!

Thank you for offer @greentires4me , decided on Balsamic Dijon Mustard Pork with Foil Packet Potatoes and Roasted Balsamic mixed veggies (mushrooms, onions, peppers & broccoli).

Dishwasher is re loaded, hand dishes are washed.

Going to make Taco Pies to put the freezer for dinners at a later time. Had some frozen Taco meat plus some peppers, mushrooms & tortilla to use up.

well I popped out today as hubby cleaned out garage I decided I had 2 bags of donation clothing from my daughter-in-law so off to talize I went and I spent 27.69 but I saved 11.something this was the first time I found no clothing for myself -unreal as I take size XL and there is more size small and medium for sure but I got hubby a lovely lilac colour tommy Hilfiger short sleeve shirt I paid 4.20 and it fits him -yeah
-also stopped into style encore to take a bag of daughter-in-law's clothing got $5.50 for her so I looked around but I sure don't wish to pay 12-14.00 for some fancy tanks that are used sometimes these stores just make up rediculois pricing I think then came home and cleaned the BBQ

I’ve arranged a meeting with two different Daycare families this week. Both families have arranged to meet with multiple Daycare providers this week. I’ll do some extra cleaning and organizing in preparation for these potential new Daycare families. I’ll need to make sure my Daycare contracts are printed and ready to go.

We spent some time outside enjoying the great warm weather. There is only one area of ice left in my back yard. I pulled out some new bubble blowers, which were spilled by our kids. Dh cleaned up in the front yard and prepared the AC for the season. I cleaned up in the back yard and garden. Some of my green onions are starting to grow. My tulips in front of the house are about 4” tall.

I plan on having the kids in the front yard tomorrow morning, since I only have older kids until closer to lunch time. There were lots of ladybugs in the front yard on Friday. The bucket of chalk is ready to go. Our twins also have their tricycles our, so they can play with those too. Dh or I will probably take our son for a bike ride around supper time. He wants to go every day and we adjusted his training wheels up some more.

I did writh for more request of coupons in french,I am waiting for making a trade on here for coupons I want because another person is behind me but I dont see her pm note in the coupons trading......oh well I will wait and pray it goes to me

Happy Monday! Beautiful sunny day here today yippee!

What a busy weekend. Busy but fun!! Now a crazy work week but hopefully it goes by quickly.

Today it’s suppose to be 22C today here the sun has risen. thank god for poster board to cut down the heat of the morning sun or it be cooking in here!

It was so nice to be able to take laundry outside again. I left yesterday's load outside before I woke DD1 this morning. Later on, I'll be able to see how windy it was by how far the socks have flown from the deck. At times like this, I wish we didn't have a postage sized property where we have four nearby neighbours.

I must be getting old though. Any concerns for privacy is completely overridden by the need for dry unmentionables. Oh dear.

I did try to protect the neighbours by putting things on the second level drying rack.

Made homemade turkey soup as I had a small bag leftover in the freezer ,even kept enough turkey for another batch of soup later
Hung my first load out of towels at 9.00 a.m -lets see if they dry -gotta love saving on the hydro
Kinda tired today -I need groceries may go out on Tuesday morning

It might be stupid but I did not know Olymel and Flamingo are not the same compagny...The packaging of theirs produits is kind of confusing for me,Now I understand why people have 2$ Olymel Peelie and 2$ Flamingo Peelie for trade.Received my air miles card today!!!!
