DH and I did a Costco run this morning so all stocked up for awhile. My oldest sister will be arriving tonight in town for a few days so plan to visit with her as she does not get out from Toronto very often. Still chilly here and haven't seen the sun for a few days. Just making up a Dr Oetker pizza for lunch which I got this week for $2.99-can't beat that and good to have a couple on hand for a quick bite on busy days. Going to doc this aft for hopefully last injections in my back-and that won't be frugal at all!!

We’ve been fighting off a bit of a bug in our house. Tomorrow is picture day for our son. We have commitments in the evening Mon-Th this week. Tomorrow is gymnastics night. Our son has moved up a level and is entering his 4th year. Our twins are finally off the wait list and about to begin their first year of gymnastics.

I had to go to Walmart yesterday to buy twin boy more diapers. He does great all day long, but is rarely dry when he sleeps. Twin girl will wear a diaper for bed, but is quite consistent in waking up dry. I haven’t been putting a diaper on her at nap time lately.

I used the WM app to price check some items. I was lucky and found two Crayola special marker and book sets that were scanning at the wrong price. The display sign said $9.97, but these two sets scanned at $11.xx and $10.xx. Good thing I know about SCOP because even when I pointed out the error at the till the teller didn’t know what I was talking about. The CSM person tried to use the higher price - $10. I ultimately got them both for free. I added them to my collection in my bedroom closet. My plan is to let our son pick a gift from the new Crayola supplies to bring as a gift to birthday parties he is invited to. Good quality stuff, but $0 gift from me.

Today I sold an item for $3. I also sold more tomatoes to my regular customer for $15. I’m still trying to sell on trade 19lbs of green tomatoes. Two people are interested in some or all of the free tomatoes. I harvested the rest of the tomatoes today, which is included in the above total. I removed their support steaks. The kids helped me harvest every last spaghetti squash and butternut squash from the patch. I then pulled all of the squash vines and weeded the area. Frost and rain are forecast this week.

Can anyone tell me how much it costs to buy a 500ml jar of pickled beets from a grocery store? I have a lady offering to trade me 500ml jars of pickled beets for my green tomatoes.

The walmart website has $3.37 for 750ml jar Bick’s pickled beets. That is of course without a coupon or CO51 rebate.

    Morning

I am off Thursday and Friday this week so have a 4 day weekend to look forward to. We are heading to Toronto Thursday afternoon to check out some stores/wander then going to see a band Somedays I feel 16 again ). Youngest DS is sleeping at Grandma's that night and going to school from her place so sleeping in Friday hopefully since it will be a late night.
I have lots of vacation time to use up just waiting to see what I need off for hockey. I also want to take 2 days off during the week and go visit my friend that move 4 hours away this past summer for work I'm really hoping we have a hockey tournament that way this year so I can work it around that ( we did last year!!)

Left the house with a clean kitchen but didn't plan anything for dinner. I'm slacking. Think I will clean out the fridge tonight and figure it out. Bacon and eggs is looking like an easy quick thing and there is bacon in the fridge to use up. Then I can plan tomorrow nights dinner.

I have never seen a smaller jar in a grocery store, but homemade ones in that size sell for at least six to eight dollars.

Wow, that’s quite expensive. I’m the only one in our family that eats pickled beets, but I know they would be good for a couple years.

Sliced beets or whole beets or baby whole beets?

I think the size of the jar may determine the size of the beets. Like I believe that the baby whole beets by bick’s are 500ml and depending where you get them from like anywhere between 3.37-4.50$ without tax.

Unless she canned them herself some people are excellent picklers and they taste better then store bought.

Our twins had their first gymnastics class this evening. Twin girl cried because she didn’t want to leave when the class was over, so Dh carried her out to the vehicle. Dh and ds stayed to wait for his later evening class. A power outage cancelled his gymnastics class, so Dh took him to Tim’s. I remind Dh to give me the receipt to submit to the SnapMyEats app.

I just checked my Amazon account and found out that the items was fully refunded. I checked for specific emails and found one from Amazon.ca and the other from the seller. I was told to keep the item too.

    Good Morning Everyone,
As I expected yesterday was a long day, I was in the office before 6 am to be me before I needed to start training a staff member. I got them set up for the day and at lunch time I switched locations to attend a meeting in another location. The meeting went a little bit longer then I had expect which is fine, this happens all the time with meetings.

After the meeting I went out to do some needed cloth shopping, I do not really have any tops for the Fall Season, I either have T-Shirt/Tank Tops or Sweaters. As well I needed some new pants. I have to say at the end of the day I was a bit disappointed in my shopping trip. I did not want jeans as I have a few pairs but feel it is time to change my style up a bit so wanted some black pants, not necessarily dress pants but nicer looking pants that I could wear if I had a meeting (we are casual office and usually just wear jeans but if I have to meet with people outside our company I have very few more dressy options especially in winter, summer I usually throw on a summer dress). I tried on over 30 pairs of pants and ended up buying 1 pair, with that being said I am fully aware I wear plus size clothing and this is me I am good with it but I seriously question this year's styles everything is super tight and form fitting which just does not work well on me. So in the end I got 1 pair of pants, 1 light weight long sleeve top and 1 sweater. I will need to do more shopping to update my wardrobe but I did not have another store in me last night as I literally tried on over 30 pairs of pants and over 20 tops and this was all I found and I was getting tired. I really feel this seasons styles are not for me.

After this we did our grocery shopping, another week where we did not need much but we got:
    10 lbs Onions $1.97
    1 x Mushrooms $3.97 + 100 pts/$
    4 x Zucchini $0.98/lb + 100 pts/$
    5 x Bananas $0.57/lb + 100 pts/$
    3 x Peppers $1.27.lb + 100 pts/$
    2 x Romaine Lettuce $0.87

A light shopping week which was nice.

Hope everyone has a nice day
