Good morning!
Had a good weekend. Got absolutely nothing done at home though.
Oldest DS helped me out and picked up his brother after work yesterday so that helped.
We went to casino for dinner last night to use free food comps and free slot play. Did well and have a nice chunk of money to play with now. They are stingy with the comps for Oct so doubt we will go at all but our one night we already have free hotel room and show tickets booked for. Pretty busy this upcoming month anyway.
Need to get some fresh fruit today so will take a look at the sales.

Good Morning Everyone,
Monday and back to work. Feeling better but still tired.
Last night we had dinner at Dad's, step mom made Paella using Chicken, Shrimp & Muscles but left out the sausage as Opa is Vegetarian. It wasn't bad but I will admit I skipped the Muscles, not my thing. Today Opa goes in for surgery, Dad and Step Mom are going to meet him at the hospital and spend the day with him well he waits, he has to check in at 8 am but has been told his actual surgery time could vary and he may sit most of the day waiting.
Tonight we need to go to Costco after work and might go to the Chinese Market as well. This trip shouldn't be too bad, there is nothing big on our list, mostly food items.
I did not get any prep done this weekend so I will need to come up with a meal plan that has some easy dinners on it. Based on yesterday's weather I thought we were going into fall and was thinking a soup would be nice but now they are calling for a high of 31 tomorrow with the humid x so might have to change to a nice Salad.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Oh the last day of September!!! Motivated to start the month off with a great meal plan. Still lots of meat in the freezer to use up so will plan to use up the older stuff (wings for sure one night! We have a few bags still) I have lots of sour cream so I know the boys would love it if I made lots of perogies. Thinking tomorrow night will be cooking night with lots of food ready to heat and eat the next few nights. I will take the wings out tonight and put in slow cooker in morning. Then they can be sauced up and baked in oven while making sides. Another batch of mac and cheese too since I have everything on hand to make it and both boys like it. Will see what else I can use up out of the freezer.

I was in between 2 purses so just cleaned them both out. Found an envelope tucked away in my summer purse with $115! So sorted all that and now have a clean purse and free spending money!

Went to No Frills and Walmart on my lunch break.
$54.23 Spent at No Frills (Redeemed $50 in pts) Got 2 boxes of Huggies diapers for a gift, 2 chicken broth, 10lb potatoes, Cheetos (to tuck away for upcoming hockey tournament weekend away), clementines, bananas, green grapes, Gala apples, a lemon (for fish and lemon Greek rice) 2 packages of ground beef (for tacos/taco salad/nachos/meat sauce) Will get lots of good meals out of this shop. Had clearance price and SCOP on diapers, used coupons and received pts back for PC Insiders.
Bought 2 lbs of butter at Walmart- Paid with change I have put away for little purchases like that.

I too will check Walmart for the ground beef deal-feel like making the stuffed pepper soup tonight so I have something ready for the week. Got some groceries yesterday at Longos so there are pantry supplies for most of the week.
This morning's forecast for the week indicated possible frost by Friday, so I harvested all but one arugula plant (Mom cannot stand the smell of arugula and I cannot stand any cider vinegar aromas that she likes in her salads), my two small radishes (one actually resembles the round variety, the other not so much) and the cukes and tomatoes. Did a little flower stalk trimming and branch collection too as garbage/recycling/yard waste collection day is Tuesday.
Saturday night on my can walk and flyer pickup (Walmart and Longos), I ventured into Value Village and actually found a few winter coats to try on. Large in an Eddie Bauer packable goose down puffer is kind of small for me and the lingerie style narrow elastic at the sleeve ends were insufficient for my needs but the dark lilac colour and quilting were gorgeous. Liz Claiborne coat ticked off most of my needs for a coat-but store only does one hour hold (I asked if it was possible to have store hold it until Friday-no). There was a Bebe trench coat in a silky synthetic in size small that had cool pockets but was not for winter-could not resist putting it over my shoulders. Then I went home and Mom must have been thrilled with my news because she gave me some funds in small bills. Sunday -I went to the store to buy the coat! This morning, I laundered it and put it on the outdoor line to dry! Just need to stitch on some reflective tape and brush off any lingering blond hairs (from previous user) then the coat is ready for crisp days--delighted to have met my coat goal by before Oct.4. Happy dance...
Ventured into Shoppers this afternoon to get the flyer and could not pass up the 3 for $5 Coke 500ml bottles as store still has the gold contest caps on some bottles and today is the last day to enter up to 5 caps for the contest.
Think this week, I'll focus on my own goals and needs and less on the yard work. Given something that occurred this weekend with sibling and an attachment for the tractor purchase, I had argument with him and Mom and they were put on notice that the yard work is on them.
As my one mammary is straining a lot and very painful to touch, I will have to find a deal on a camisole top with shelf bra and get one size larger. Wearing a bra is hard after 4-5h any given day, but almost impossible on a humid day. My skin is so itchy and legs are so twitchy too. Had expected that consuming the oil with my tinned tuna fish I'd have alleviated some of the itching but it has not led to relief.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Longo's Ancaster has Nestle Drumsticks on sale for $2.99 until tomorrow! Perfect for the predicted humid day that will occur in Southern ontario.
In the clearance area (grocery-near fish freezers/cheese fridges), there are 99 cent packages of fruit flavoured mini marshmallows (best before dates are Sept. 25 but product is still soft)! I purchased one bag.
Longos shoppers in Burlington (Fairview or other locations)-do your stores still have Ozonal ointment? My store sold the last tube within the past week at $6.94 (yes on sale) and now the spot is filled with Polysporin tubes. I'd like to buy more Ozonal as the tube bought this month is nearly empty. Yes, I checked my clearance section at the store but only toothbrushes and shampoo/conditioners on clearance were there. Or is there another store stocking the product?
I've only seen Ozonol at my Longos for the past two years. It was a happy find after years of looking everywhere. Maybe I need to expand my list of stores everywhere...Last edited by Ciel; Mon, Sep 30th, 2019 at 04:06 PM.

If you possess a Nestea code for b1g1 free movie tickets at Cineplex, today is the last day to go to the theatre after buying your tickets online with the code. Good luck!

I posted a bunch of outdoor winter clothing items for sale while my children were napping this afternoon. Some items have already sold and some are being picked up tomorrow morning.
I’m preparing for more daycare interviews one family is going to part-time and the mom is pregnant with baby #2. A different family just gave me notice today. They are moving to another city, so that child will leave my care at the end of October. I also have one opening from a daycare child that left my care at the end of August.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money
