It is indeed a difficult time for many, myself included.
Perhaps the thread 'Blue(Sad) Christmas(as opposed to Merry)' in the General Discussion, would provide some insight and let you know you're not alone. Others share the same feelings about the holidays.
Regardless of what your mind may say, deep down inside you, may you find you are not alone.
Grace and Peace to you my friend.
If need be, don't hesitate to call the crisis intervention line in your city, or go to the hospital. You need not suffer.Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

I used to have budgie birds, then parrots. Now I have children. They are the reason I have gotten out of bed on many mornings. I wholly recommend low maintenance pets to anyone who needs a buddy. They are wonderful and don't judge.

Sorry to hear about your Bitey. I had betta's a number of times. They are so pretty. Some lived a couple years, some not so long. Maybe you can find a new pretty one soon.

Well, my hubby can't understand why I'm so ticked off at the latest mental health commercial featuring Clara Hughes (former Olympic somethingorother)....all smiles and giggles, yes she DID "suffer" from depression "for two years" (poor dear), but is just so peachy keen now, and...and...what, Clara? WE can be, too? Or are you so giddy because you're NOT ONE OF US anymore?!!!
I'd much rather have seen a real spokesperson who can say, "Yes, I suffer from depression...and although my medications do help, I still have some pretty rotten, crummy days...but I'm still here and I can still live a good life with the help I'm receiving." Not: I was...now I'm NOT...so phhhhttt to YOU!!
Can anyone else relate? Grrr..makes me so mad....
..on a side-note...I was seeing a psychiatrist in my teens for night-terrors, and he finally diagnosed me as "a spoiled teenager"...so I stood up and said, "Have a nice life, but you won't be seeing ME again."
A couple of years later he killed himself, lol.....so what are they worth, really? I hope everyone finds the right someone in the profession to talk to, but really.....be careful.....I still laugh at the insanity of it all re my shrink..........Last edited by Lynn49; Mon, Feb 6th, 2012 at 12:49 PM.

Right now I just feel like...something's wrong. I just describe it. I just dont feel right. Nothing seems to make sense, and I just want to hide from it all.
