Well it's one gazillion degrees here but thankfully I have the a/c on and cranked up, yet need to be near it to be able to enjoy it completely.
Started the day off with my head pounding and eyes unable to look at the computer screen, so thought I was going to have a full blown migraine. Better now but not 100%.Absolutely nothing accomplished but that's o.k. as need to take care of body first.
Bought reduced price roast beast(beef) yesterday didn't realise it was from New Zealand where apparently cows live happy lives on real grass and are so contended that you can taste the difference(google NZ beef). It was good,no fat and no greasy aftertaste,so yeah could taste the difference.Leftovers were in a container in the fridge which I let fall out, but not onto the cat's plate(container stayed closed).Had it landed on the plate I probably would've salvaged what I could(unlike lemon meringue pie last week).
Encouraged to see that everyone is still plugging away at whatever they're dealing with in life(you will get there) and the encouragement of others.
Enjoy the rest of the week my friends one step at a time, and stay cool and hydrated!
Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

    @Angela273 - House Purchasing Nightmare

DH bought our house without me seeing it in person. All I saw was realtor photos. We were living in Calgary at that time and he flew over on his own to Ontario. Fast forward to me setting foot on the newly purchased house on our first night, a mouse ate the snack I bought from our drive through the US. The laundry room was a huge disaster area, no proper water drainage from the washing machine. There was a leak on the ceiling that the previous owners never fixed and it left damage. We had to replace all the appliances that they left. DH had to repair and renovate everything while he also worked full time. It was so stressful.

Good Luck with the house purchase and hopefully things work out for you in the end.

Oh and angela our basement had leaks 23 years ago when we bought our house (inspector said their may be leaks as are backyard has a bit of a hill and we are on the curve of our crescent ) cost 3,000 to fix inside the basement (we didnt go the outside route as from our first house we know that can be costly)

I am not a smoker but have family members who are and it truly is so hard. I have one family member who has quit so many times, they were in an accident and could not smoke, they had multiple face injuries and could barely eat or drink and were told smoking could cause infection. They quit but when they went back to work seeing so many co-workers smoking, it was a social thing.

Then again years later after having a baby they stopped again well on vacation but once they were back at work with co workers smoking they started again.

We just have to remember how hard it is for them, as a non-smoker I see it as you quit you got over the hard part but it is not that easy for them.

@Angela273...at my house the basement at flooded and we have no choice to remove all of the furniture and wall and floor..that was a nightmare...and after my mom passed away..so we sold the house in this condition....I am sure it affected the value of my house ... The insurance never refund us
Hope it will resolve and will be ok for you in the new house..Moving should be fun and not a sort of nightmare..

    Good Evening Everyone,
I forgot the cooler again when I went to work. I texted Mom and we decided I would come home and after I was done work for the day we would go do our shopping.

A little disappointed a few things that were part of the hidden sales this week were not on sale at my location so no Cherry Tomatoes (although I do still have 1 1/2 big packs) and no mini cucumbers (but I have full size).

Will still check next week's flyers for some fruit, we have frozen but I like to get some fresh to mix in. I also plan to use some of the frozen to make smoothies next week I can whip one up and if there are days I am in the office I can take my smoothie with me. Looking for some new breakfast options.

It is supposed to be cooler this weekend and I would like to get some stuff but at the same time my body wants to do nothing, it wants a weekend off but we will see. We have the momentum and I do not want to lose it but my work schedule is kind of kicking my butt right now LOL.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Not feeling my best today, do not know if this happens to anyone else but for some reason I woke up at 1 am this morning and my body totally thought it was morning, time to get up and tackle the day. So I had a broken night sleep and I am feeling it today, a bit tired.

There is some cooler air outside right now so I have the door open letting it in. I am officially ready for this heat wave to break. But, not yet today is supposed to be another hot one with temps around the 40 degree mark, uggggg.

I have been thinking of some things I can make this weekend to get us through the next heat wave as it looks like it will get warm again next week. Not 40 degree hot but still warm enough it will make cooking difficult. Oddly I really want to make some muffins so if the temps allow that will be on the to-do-list for this weekend.

    Have a great day everyone
